What's the cheapest way to get 1000 credits?
I just want to get that hooded epic genji skin, nothing else, but apparently I can't even save and grind for the credits really, not unless I put in like near 100hrs.

I noticed all the starter bundles reviews claim they silently removed the currencies from the bundles, since I remembered hearing they had some at some point.

do I actually just need to shill out $10 for one skin now? is there truly no cheaper option for a fresh account???

There is no cheap way to get 1000 credits unless you do your challenges and build up months worth to get something you want, if you really want the skin you'll have to spend $10 on him but it's better than most skins these days costing up to $20 but nonetheless the monetisation on this game is awful.

damn nah thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥, I was only gonna pay some dosh if I could get a valueable pack that got me more than one skin.

Sold my old account at end of overwatch 1s cycle for $350 which had all the skins from overwatch 1 + events ones, don't regret it but ♥♥♥♥ maybe I shoulda charged that feller more...

Like I'm literally offering better prices than blizzard themselves lmao, I guess I'll just do the weekly grind and hope my friends and I aren't done with the game in 8 weeks

Considering it was calculated to be over a thousand to own every skin in the game, you selling your account for $350 is pretty cheap. I would say you could spend the $10 on the Genji skin if you're committed to OW2 but seeing as you're an old player and you are not all that into the game as much anymore I'd say we'd both agree it isn't worth it.

I've seen prices of those accounts go up to $2500 at best just for those skins because they are in high demand and have a market going.

damn lmao, I had lots of OWL $15 skins and did have the illidan one, I think person that brought it from me would've been ecstatic once they found how much I had on that account that I forgot to advertise.
In my defence though, at the time I didn't think OW would survive much longer, or at the least it'd fall to cult classic status, then came the removal of china, cancellation of pve and the end of the OWL, I thought it had to be all over but nope it's still kicking.

Also rationally people can say somethings worth big $$$ but you really gotta consider if anyone would actually spend that much on an account, I actually set asking price of $500 just as a starting point (thought from the start it was a bit high) and was negotiated down to $350, but at the bonus he went first which was the key for me, as long as I got something for it and not got scammed.
idk if it will help anyone in this thread, but I ended up using MyNintendo Gold Points to buy overwatch coins. It's not technically free, but I already bought the switch games regardless, so it's nice bonus anyway.
