Just a bad luck, crap happens, it's unavoidable. Once it's over you'll soon may get a win streak of 10+ games.

Why? Your win rate average is likely getting to be to high, so matchmaking forcing losses on you to keep it from getting to high and bring you back down to where it wants you to be.

Due to the way matchmaking is designed, players who tryhard and focus on trying to win every match, unintentionally end up manipulating matchmaking into punishing them.

My matchmaking experience used to be so bad it was virtually unplayable.

Then I massively deflated my win rate average, and work to keep it deflated by keeping a 1:2 win loss ratio..

Been a much better experience for me ever since..

Basically to have any kind of decent experience with the ow2 matchmaking system, you either have to be completely clueless, or you have to exploit and manipulate it.

And when you understand the matchmaking system you come to realize they are a good thing and win streaks are actually bad

I can confirm you can actually lose 20+ in loss streaks.

Right from, from 10 matches. I won 2 times. The system is horrible.

yeah i know, i've read your posts
you lose a bunch in Arcade, leave when you're about to win so it doesn't register, then you queue into comp so that the 50/50 MM gives you a free win because it doesn't distinguish between comp or unranked
i'd rather just play the game (or not, i'm taking a break right now, if its not fun why bother)

Can't leave in arcade anymore..

Win dodging is only necessary when your win rate is so low matchmaking already trying to force wins on you..

Which if your commonly seeing forced losses it's safe to assume your far on the other side of the spectrum..

If it feels like a competitive match, then.. Just relax.
Do purposefully try out new tricks and heroes whom you're aware to not be doing so well in the specific map or with the team's composition, and that shall more or less ensure a loss.

As mentioned within the previous replies, it's the work of matchmaking system being designed to bring players to ~50% win rate, possibly even with the individual statistics in mind, but nobody can truly confirm that.. As even our experiences may be inflated due to the game being free to play, resulting in the smurfing problem that's very likely to keep on being persistent..

it's because you dropped your elo/mmr to play in easy matches

quick play and comp use different elo/mmr values
Ow2 algorithms intentionally rig matches so you have a 50/50 win to loss ratio. No joke.

Lol not entirely, but mmr/elo isn't the only thing that influences how matchmaking functions..

A players total average win rate influences matchmaking as well, and this is what allows the maniuplation to work..

Your mmr will shift but it's extremely slow, compared to win rate maniuplation..

Quick play is just a setup

I will play solo tank against 1-3 tanks.
Usually against sigma, zarya, random tank

My healers are 100% moira 90% mercy zen lucio if a second healer
Enemy healers are 90% ana 90% illari and kiriko

My dps are 70%+ mei, junkrat, hanzo + insert random dps
Enemy dps are 80%+ pharah, sombra, mcree picks

Constantly get a 3 dps team. Almost 50%

Seriously, does anyone else get comps like this?

My team is CONSTANTLY countered. Like matchmaker just picks these idiots on purpose.
It is not just a counter because losing. It is just a constant ignorance of the game.

LIKE CONSTANT. ANYONE?

Does matchmaker think I am a GOD and should carry them all? ALL THE TIME!!

Yes, its QP derp, but why does the enemy team almost never have these comps?

:tank:

Yes, I have played role queue and comp probably more than anyone else on these forums and half the time they are just as stupid as QP players if not more.

Wait times aren't worth it. Especially in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2.

Seriously though, are the majority of your comps ike this?
