Ranked is the worst it's ever been.

Been playing since 2016 and I have consistently been a masters/low gm player for the entirety of the time. Season 9 has destroyed all competitive integrity, as now I have master players mixed with career plats in all of my games. The worst part about it is the rigged 50/50 is worse than it ever has been. I'm making this after having won a game and receiving a -1% for a win meanwhile I lose -22% progress for a loss. The game is purposefully lowering a mass amount of people to cut down on queue times and it's so painful for anyone trying to genuinely climb. I have a screenshot and video of me recieving the -1%. 7 Years and I have never felt comp this terrible.

season 9, blizzard told in a blog post how they revamped the ranking system, maybe this was a visibility thing, maybe it was a core change, maybe its both.

but based on the modifier you got from this blog post, you got the "expected" debuff, where you lose rank points when you win cause the odds are so heavily stacked in your favor, due to how the matchmaker was building a match.

It's impossible to get a half decent match you either get one or two people who know what they're doing or you get 4 kids sharing a brain cell with feet for hands.

I keep saying this but it seems more and more true with every modern title but the match making in this game is the absolute worst I've ever experienced, but who ever releases the next game will do their best to one up it.

I can't understand why the MM still match people with a far different range of skills; i got two "Consolation" after a "Expected". I mean it's ridiculously frustrant leveling up 9% and then lost 11% or get a "reversal" in a match with a dude making 30+ kills vs 6 or 7 of your DPSs in your team.

The simple answer is matchmaking is designed to be a marketing tool, not a matchmaking system..

The matchmaking system is designed to show bias building every match showing favor to one side over the other, when building matches.

Its only terrible if your not trash at the game, and don't manipulate its biased nature to your advantage..

Yep, the matchmaking can be exploited by players for a handicap..

Been doing it so long, I'm stating to see matches so grossly uneven I can not contribute and my team still rolls 4v5


Basically it's a matchmaking system designed to gaslight bads, into thinking they are good, when in reality they are getting carried by others and matchmaking

it isn't fun when you lose multiple games in a row and its a complete stomp- thats why I just leave a game to lose rank rather than go on the rank rollercoaster.
