i understand the annoyance, however. it'd bug me too if i just wanted to hop around and play here or there. if it were my game, i wouldn't push it: focusing on pro gamers into ranked or some separate server for unranked.
again, it's there setup in this regard. so, it's probably best to just respect it and offer a suggestion on how to handle it differently that doesn't (hopefully) doesn't reduce their drive to mold professional gamers.
if i'm not mistaken (again), the company has had a great financial success with getting the public to treat it's games like money machines for public competitions and esports. it's probably a conflict of interest that's difficult to navigate in trying to offer casual play as well as professional play.
