because the matchmaking is horrendous, how many times do we have to talk about this? you can tell within a minute if it is going to be a stomp or be stomped.

I got into a losing streak of 16 matches in a row. It was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Now it's working fine.

How did you still have motivation to play 16 games? I would have just stopped playing after the 5th loss and go onto a different game.

I did went to a different game and took breaks. But I keep constantly losing. I got a bunch of POTG, and complete the season pass very fast.

My biggest losing streak is 24. But that's from OW1. I never had this type of losing streak in OW2. Like I said. I took breaks, go outside, do my things, play other games, Battlefield, Elder Scrolls Online, Persona. But I keep losing. Weird.

I am assuming this will work- I am going to try this strategy instead of going through the mandatory loss streak (forced 50% win/loss rate or whatever) is just to drop out of a few games and take the time hit to drop rank instead of going through the annoying loss streak. Does anyone else do this? Having 5-6 losses in a row just makes me want to quit the game.

I am sure people are already doing this- that may be one of the reasons why you have leavers.

Well therein lies the problem- as far as multiplayer...I have not found many games that I like playing. I think the state of gaming has gone downhill over the years. I am just not a big fan of battle royales and thats what devs seem to be making. What are some suggestions on different games? I liked tf2, left 4dead, portal 1 and 2....those are my types of games.

Blizzard intentionally created a bad matchmaking design, it becomes unenjoyable and intolerable to play OW2 for too long because its just back and forth between wins and losses so I'm always finding myself playing different games after a little while. I'm not surprised to see players leave more often, they've probably reached the same realisation several times but still stay hooked because of a love/hate relationship.

for me it is a lack of quality multiplayer games that are not battle royales.

There's nothing quite like Overwatch, alas. It won game of the year back in 2016 for good reason and it was fresh to FPS games but its unfortunate that it is in the hands of a company that doesn't care about quality. I haven't enjoyed many FPS games after its release and I've played the likes of CS 1.6, Quake 3 Arena and TFC before OW.
Because getting stomped in overhyped 2 Overwatch 2 isn’t fun

Ok, and what if the games they're leaving are placements, and rank hasn't been decided yet?
