That's boring af though. I just can't get over peoples ridiculous realities they hold so close to their chest like a bunch of pearls in some sort of necklace.
If you die in a funny way, don't you say something? Don't you just scream LMFAO REINS CHARGE MISSED AND PUSHED ME OFF THE MAP"
Not because you want a reaction but because it's just something that happened and you thought was funny? It's just so far beyond me how toxic this game has become. And weirdly toxic at that.
Mass reporting, adding people to friends just to yell at them for a loss, the list goes on and on.
It's just so much worse than it was in OW and it was still bad in OW.
Well yes, of course. In the group chat when I'm playing with friends. Team and Match chats > OFF for exactly the reasons you are listing lol, most of the ppl on this game are not worth interacting with
I'm just not a fan of muting the world and pretending people don't exist in a game where it's supposed to be a game where you work together towards a goal.
It's just sad that I can't even remind people of that without being mass reported and banned for 30 days every time I hop back on after the ban lifts.
I could in OW.
I understand completely, but on this particular game it is just not worth it. Seriously, 95% of interactions are negative on here it's absurd. I personally started having way more fun on here just muting all of the public chats and just communicating in Friends-only chats instead. It's up to you but if you're getting banned that often, is it really worth engaging?
There's some analogy about how pigs love to wrestle in mud and that represents, like, idiots arguing on the internet or whatever? Don't let people drag you down to their level, basically.
edit: btw this is all the perspective of someone who has never touched COmpetitive; I only play quickplay
I think it's worth it to at least be a voice for humanization. Even if I am screaming as they bury me.
Yes, yes there is. Giving those toxic asshats 0 space, and filling it with attempts to converse and have a humanizing experience with people is the only way to fight it.
Burying your head in the sand isn't the way.
Because it's fully automated and doesn't care if you had a family emergency or whatever else. It's a cold system that dehumanizes and doesn't create ANY KIND of humanized team gameplay. It separates us, makes us mute each other, makes us turn chat off. I have NEVER heard someone speak unless I was like "Doesn't anyone use voice chat?" when I get someone who tells me to "shut the f up N word" reports me and I get a suspension.
That's the world we live in now in OW2.
Didn't have to do that in OW1 I could fight back and noone would win. And that's how it should be.
Is it really worth getting all the bans for interacting with players that aren't worth interacting with?
It would be worth it if more people fought.
But you can't get people in a room to dance without someone doing it first.
I type 73wpm...
A death lasts about 15ish seconds?
So yeah...
Maybe to you, but that's because we aren't on the same level of typing ability. And it's ridiculous that people like you minimize everything others do, because you can't do it.
It's pathetic.
