Steam overlay bug - causes game to black out

It has happened twice that I've been using shift+tab steam overlay to browse the internet while waiting for a match. But then after a game is found the steam overlay freezes and I am unable to enter the match. If I try and alt+tab out or ctrl+alt+del, and in again its all black.

Just to add another pointer, a lot of games have a seamless transition between desktop and the game, but for Overwatch2 its like a 5 second black screen while things are trying to load up. Brings me back to early 2010s games

right, im the weird one who has all the problems with steam and overwatch...oh wait.....:tank:

Its just the steam overlay being messy, no overlay for Battlenet which is a lack. I'm tired of having to use multiple game stores to play my games such as Epic games, Origin/EA, BattleNet, GOG, Xbox app, Ubisoft.

So I'm happy to do as much as possible via Steam.
