Bots on competitive matches

Didn't know bots exists in matches, Last time I got team up 3 of them didn't know they were bots I thought they are just throwing the game, they will hit sometimes just walking towards the enemy and jumping off the edge to die that ruined my match and my teammate. Today I played against 5 of them 3 games on rank.

how do you know they are bots and not just blizzard's target audience?

Yah so sad notice that there are more players at midnight than the day. I prefer waiting longer on que than playing with bots
