"Ez" toxic: how to reply?
How do you reply to some one who wrote "ez" in the chat?

The issue here is less one of distasteful behavior, and more one that the matchmaking system is designed to make uneven matches, to ensure win rate average thresholds can be maintained..

When you win rate is low matchmaking will build matches thar make it easier to get that win rate average back up..

Basically they are typically trash players who get hard carried by matchmaking.. who are so ignorant of the game they can't even see it, and genuinely believe they are good..

Alternatively they are just manchildren, using video games as a pathetic attempt to overcompensate for personal inadequacies

Don't. Instead report them for toxic chat behavior.
Use the word toxic. That's important. Disruptive. Violent . These help too.

They'll prob get banned and it's the only way you'll actually get one up on them

Ez is so airtightly juvenile in its circular logic, that it cant be vocally contested.

Typical bully language.

If they were on my team, I say "don't say that". If they're on the other team and it wasn't easy, I say "no it wasn't".
If it was easy for the other team someone usually tells them to shut up.

The comment I don't get is "gg ez". It's like being nice and rude in one breath.

Nobody does. Toxic is a key word in having reports successfully go through.

Blame blizzard culture.

In this context, both side are part of the problem..

If we had a matchmaking system that was designed to make even matches instead of one that's designed to maintain win rate thresholds..

I would certainly agree with you if not for that..

It's just adding insult to injury.. especially when the players engaging in it are often getting hard carried by the biased nature of the matchmaking system..

When your struggling to stay above the mininum win rate threshold.. matchmaking will give you easy matches. By some combination of matching you with stronger players and putting you against weaker players

Generally speaking its a good sign of a bad player who thinks there good.. when there behaving like this..

It's hilarious how there typically the first ones to cry about balance when they struggle against a certain hero
It ain't that deep.

It's just a bad game made by bad people and played by 'toxic' individuals

Matchmaking could be fixed tomorrow and the player base would probably still never recover

Only because "abusive chat" reports would still be a thing..

It would take both fixing matchmaking, and taking a "just mute them" stance on "abusive chat" in order for the playerbase resolve itself..

I mean even with the increadably sad state of the TF2 playerbase.. you don't see nearly as many people running their mouths or people crying about others doing it..

The matchmaking systems in both games are fundamentally similar enough to say they are the same for the context of this discussion..

My point being there's 2 problems here..

Firstly is the fact that the behavior is typically coming from players who have bloated egos because they get carried by the matchmaking system and genuinely think there better than they actually are.. without ever experiencing an ego check that would eventually happen in a traditional matchmaking system

Secondly Is the reporting basically encourages the crybaby players to stick around and cry more, instead either growing a spine or moving on..

Many "community" or playerbase problems have duality to them, most tend to want to only view it from the side that they are on

say "gg report the ez" and report :) if someone else on your team is annoyed, he'll report him. If he gets many reports, he'll get chat banned. EZ

Yep and because the matchmaking system intentionally builds matches that way..

Because of that it's no different than an able bodied person picking a fight with seriously handicapped person, just so they can gloat about winning a fight..
