10 minutes isn't even that bad, go have a snack take a breather and try to compose yourself so you don't leave again.

Pop open youtube or netflix on your second display and smoke a blunt while you wait out the penalty....then queue up for another qp when you're high and leave again if you end up with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ players on your team....better to leave game than to force yourself to play with garbage that ends up on your team....

If Blizzard implemented the same mmr system that's being used for comp then maybe people wouldn't leave qp matches as often in the first place....

Yeah so when all of these complaining leavers realize their mmr is thrashed because they quit a bunch and they get put with other leavers in what is basically a shadow ban like they do on warzone?

That’s based and I agree if you leave you should be placed with other leavers and shadow banned.

youre still ruining the game for everyone else. In DOTA all pick NON competitive also gives you leaver penalties. if you dont have the nerves or time to last the whole match then stay off the game and play the sims

You're wasting other nine people's time when you go full sissy mode and leave whenever you lose first point and/or get squashed and don't counter back for the sake of the team, because you went sissy.

Go play TF2, in there at least you can abandon casually and don't piss off who really wants to engage in this game.

A bit unrelated, but Blizzard had Steam support nuke a ton of reviews for the game bringing the percentage from 9% to 14% positive.

the thing is that overwatch is a much more competitively-oriented game than some, and even in quick play's more "casual" setting there's an expectation to take the game at least somewhat seriously. as someone else mentioned near the beginning of the discussion, you are 20% of the team, and you leaving has a seriously negative impact on everybody else's gameplay experience. i can understand feeling frustrated at being backfilled into a match that's pretty obviously a lost cause, but imagine how the rest of the team must feel seeing someone join only to immediately leave again and screw them over further.

Lukewarm take but the new penalty system is the hottest garbage since American elections.

Plus leavers really don't care about a 15 min ban if theyre done for the day.

But what really gets me, is how the rest of the team is punished with a perma 4v5 more than half the time now. Blizz is super tone def on this one.
