We wont sue you but youll get a 10 minute penalty if you leave too much and 1 minute in the middle of combat in a 15 minute match is a long time to be 4 v 5, you are wild bro plus you can try out heroes in the custom modes and leave all you want!
1000s of other games to play if you feel that way my man, but yet here you still are.
It should of had timeout penalties from the start and then all this bad behavior from leavers wouldn't exist would it.
Custom modes are not the same thing as quick play I am trying to get an authentic experience. Yeah let me get a good competitive like experience by playing "Daddy's game" in custom game modes
The authentic experience then would be to stick out the match til the end my friend.
could be both ways shouldn't be penalized for a casual game mode.
I hate to tell you this bro, but for some people quick match is alittle more serious than "casual" and you leaving seriously ruins their experience. I'm gonna have to say 4 other players > you so just stick it out, or deal with the penalty its literally 10 minutes if you hit it go into custom and play something or get a snack. You people act like its the end of the world.
Your own actions lead to it my man. Pay the piper.
Its called Quick Match, not casual. Just because you don't take it seriously doesn't give you the right to ruin other players times. I'm sorry you don't understand that.
I am ruining their experience? because someone leaves then a backfill comes in a minute later if they want to play a more serious game mode play competitive and I'm not acting like it's the end of the world it's a legitimate concern I have that's why there's 2 game modes competitive and quick play unranked there's a lot more problems that this game needs to solve and it's not quick play I'll tell you that right now
then play comp where you belong and stop ruining the experience of quickplay? i don’t get why yall are so terrified of playing where you belong. you wanna be an entitled tryhard - comps right there for you.
Play custom where you can't get penalties then.
The only ones entitled are the people who want to abandon their teammates.
Thats not how team games works, you wanna just leave matches you can play TF2 and come and go as you please since its 16v16 not 5v5
If they introduced leaver penalties after all these years, yes it was a serious problem and the community wanted it fixed and they fixed it.
Sorry you don't feel the same.
So you're saying all the times developers implemented pay to win elements and other nefarious practices into video games players wanted that and yes maybe a small small portion did want that cough cough Wales but sometimes developers make stupid decisions and they need to be called out on it
Pay to win like what lmao. What is pay 2 win in Overwatch 2? Strawmen argument because you feel so entitled to do whatever you want with your free time even if it means you ruin 9 other players free time. Get out of here with that you that aren't special even if your mom told you were.
Wales is a place in the UK.
This is the best decision the OW2 team has done since OW2 came out. Leavers should be punished. It would be a stupid move if they penalized you for leaving 1 sure but you get 4 out of 20 literally 20% of your games. It's that simple.
Cry all you want I hope it never changes and I hope the penalty for leavers only get worse.
You will never change my mind about this. If you can't commit you should quit.
A penalty for leaving too many games is not going to stop those who genuinely want to leave the match (and multiple factors attribute to why someone would leave) because they will just take the penalty and do something else until the penalty expires and if they did get banned from leaving too many games then it's not really a loss when OW2 is just awful in every single department anyway so they can go ahead and play far better games. But if anything I'd rather take a leaver over someone who throws the match because that's just a 4v5 for the entire match compared to a leaver giving the opportunity for someone who backfills that actually wants to play making it a 5v5.
It's pretty much just a band-aid solution to leavers in QP when most of the fault is on Blizzard for intentionally designing a horrible, manipulative and unfair matchmaking system which is why a lot of players leave matches still. I doubt Blizzard will ever bother fixing the core problems at hand to make OW2 more enjoyable for their playerbase, as long as they're making money off of forcing win rates and tricking gullible low-skill/new players into buying skins because all because a skilled player made it look good.
I'm with you with this one and think the penalty for leaving too many games is healthy for most players; even for those who leave too often. This teaches them to fight until end, how the real game works too. In quickplay people can try out new heroes without losing their ranks in real matches, and without playing too long, because the matches are shorter too.
But I do not think it should be worse penalty. The way it is handled right now is good.
Be careful, this part could be used against you.^^
