"Overwatch has encountered a critical error during startup" error
An error occurs 10 seconds after starting the game. Before the 2 gigabyte patch came out, everything worked. I had tried verifying game integrity, and Steam downloaded 48 megabytes of some files, but the error still remained.

I found people having similar problems and reinstalling the game didn't help them, so I haven't tried it yet.

Please help :xerxes:

Anyways the fix we found was actually restarting the router and that seemed to do the trick, I cant believe it was that simple.

Same problem here idk whats wrong with the game and I have no idea how to fix it
Try uninstalling then reinstalling Team Fortress 2. That usually fixes my problems with overwatch

Have you tried updating your drivers or turning your computer off and on again?

Thanks for the advice, but if I have to choose between two garbage games, I'll choose the one that's fun to play. And this is not TF2. :cancyman:

In any case, the error disappeared when I reinstalled the game and the BattleNet launcher...
idk, spaghetti-code is wonderful

I saw on forums with messages about this error that a person had some problems with his Wi-Fi adapter. This is very strange, but you never know

I don’t know what I could do about the WiFi router or anything that would fix the problem
Blizzard code is probably more janky than TF2’s. So if it’s a bug they probably won’t fix it. Because they write code like this:
