Overwatch 2 5GB RAM
Overwatch at one point started eating 5gb of my RAM instead of 1 like before. I've searched the whole internet, I don't know how to fix it. I'm lucky I have no lags because of this, but my friend has the same problem and he just can't play because the game dies from lags. If anyone has encountered a similar problem and was able to fix it please write back.

5GB Ram is very low for a game. No idea how it could possibly have been using 1GB to be honest. It's more likely it was a bug in the UI you were using to measure the ram usage than anything else.

The minimum requirement for the game to run is 6gb so i dont how what black magic you use to run it only with only 1gb

only 5GB? OW1 averages around 6~8GB and 2GB vram(@1440P) usage. OW2 probably uses more.

My friend just at one point the game began to lag and he does not understand why and decided that it is because the game consumes 5 gb RAM. He didn't download anything, it's not a virus. Just the game began to behave like that and that's all.

Your friend misread the ram usage or task manager was wrong. A game like overwatch would never have used as little as 1GB of ram.

Are the graphic settings changed to high sometime when migrating from battlenet to steam causes the settings to change

Ease off the "s" on lag. It's amazing how your english is nearly perfect but you mess that one word up. I see it all the time and don't get what the deal is. Lol.
