The majority of disdain for the game has nothing to do with the balance or format change even if they are obviously worse. You already know that though if you have a 3rd grade reading level.

Overwatch 2 is all about toxic skill culture.

If you're all about that 'ez' mentality overwatch 2 is a much better game because it's poorly balanced and the gameplay encourages salt.

A video game can't require actual skill because only lazy people play them, so instead games like overwatch lean into shortcuts like counter picking that make the player feel good without them even having to be good

Because of copium, even if we go back others say that ow2 was better regardless. Ow1 was horrendously balanced that we had goats, double shield, double sniper, moth, and beyblade meta. You'd rather stop listening to those coping kids because those were 3/4ths of the metas ow1 had, ow2 meta is infinitely better than ow1 metas and it will return to one of those bad metas if we go back to ow1.

Especially with ramattra and orisa now, it will just be a double bunker meta since ram would just shield, then get big to block hits, next is orisa that turns golden unheadshottable as of now, with a spear that can block everything and it will be rinse and repeat between ram and orisa until they have ults.
