Just ignore goto. That guy speaks nonsense.
The most that they, and any dev for that matter do though is try to prioritize putting similar sets against one another, then set ups as close as possible, bit then solo q’s if nothing even close is available.
Not sure why would people keep playing when they have loss after loss. Why would people spend their money on a game that does that. It makes no sense.
Is there any evidence to show that sort of happen. I hear this claim often but nothing to back it up.
Pretty sure it is almost same concept as gambling addiction and you can find plenty of study papers for that (not for video games, but that's because I didn't look that specific direction).
Hell, it even makes me wonder why people keep gambling despite that there will be definitely more losses than wins. But then again I also do "cant sleep until i win at least once" or something like that sometimes soo... (Not in OW2, OW2 is just pain for me to do that)
This is exactly what is going on. This game is set just like a casino. Even in OW...it always was win 10 games lose 10 games- thats how gambling is- this game isn't based on skill.
u are right
Simple answer your getting matched with groups of "casuals" which the matchmaking system uses you to push their mmr up against that sweat stack
All you gotta do is stop try harding for a bit and actively try not to win matches. Don't throw, but don't cap objectives. Push cart.. don't counter pick enemy players dominating your team..
After a bit your winrate and skill rating will deflate and it will revert back to being tolerable..
Do it to much and you'll start getting a lot of matches where you stomp enemy players.
Basically the matchmaking system punishes solo players for being good.. so you have to trick it into thinking your not as good as you actually are. To actually have any kind of enjoyable experience
The matchmaking system in this game is extremely easy to manipulate..
This is nothing except an excuse to try and pass the blame onto someone else and nothing more. You choosing not to communicate or work as a team is you and your teams fault and no one else's. This is simply put consequences for ones poor choices, and you're going to have to learn to suck it up and live with it.
