Hero Mastery Mode
Thoughts on it?

For me, classic good\bad\ugly is:

The good: So far, I think the basic premise is fine. I kinda like having a solo spot to practice learning vital skills on certain heroes. For example, I think the Mercy one helps learn flight mechanics fairly well and I think the Reinhardt one can assist in learning how to stop charging off ledges.

Bad: I think the scoring system isn't great, I dislike "find the hidden emblems!" style gameplay, and the map designs feel clunky. Maybe half of the emblems actually help you learn and the other half are just needlessly spaced out across the map to waste your time which lowers your score. Also some of the maps are just unintuitive, and a few "go this way" arrow signs would help a lot.

Ugly: I absolutely hate the tiered stage unlocks. I think it completely defeats the purpose of the basic premise when combined with the scoring system. Like, you aren't a better Mercy by the time you get 4 stars on the first stage, you just know where everything is \ the optimal route to get there. You aren't really developing your skill with the hero so much as developing limited pattern recognition, which is useful, but I feel exposing the player to more varied scenarios would be much better in helping them become better players with those heroes. Right now it just feels like they're artificially time gating the content because there isn't much there right now and they wanted it to seem bigger.

Overall, lots of potential if they make appropriate changes. If they don't, I doubt the player engagement reaches high enough to warrant actually finishing this mode's development, and it'll be another dropped project within a couple of months.
