Report a translation problem
The only explanation I could have in mind are the shader caches for the graphics. You need to play a little bit until everything is cached. Until then it might get choppy at times. Your Steam installation is new and the cache was empty at start, while your cache is already done on Battle.NET. That's why the performance seems to differ. After playing a bit, it should be normalized. Just a guess though, as we have no other information from your side.
I get about 250FPS on Battlenet but 360~ on Steam.
Also I think you read the post wrong. Steam performs better than Battlenet.
Oh my bad. I took it the other way. Well, then I have no explanation for. It's really odd the huge 30% difference is performance in average FPS. I'm curious too as to what causes that then. I wonder if others have the issue as well.
