Sheer incompetence. Blizzard doesn't care about its playerbase or the game.
Aaron Keller, the current director of Overwatch 2 addressed the overwhelmingly negative reviews on Steam as explained here in this Kotaku link[www.kotaku.com.au].

At the end of Keller's statement, he says "we will continually create and innovate on what is making the game great now for the players who are playing now."

I just happened upon another article (Link here[www.dexerto.com]) a couple of days later discussing the possibility (or rather lack thereof) of a map voting feature.

Long story short: Overwatch Devs are denying the playerbases' request for map veto, stating that it would "further damage" matchmaking.

They're admitting that their matchmaking is already bad.
They're also admitting their incompetence to code properly.
They're ALSO admitting that they're lying for the 800,000th time.

Blizzard: We're going to focus on making the game great for people who are playing NOW.
Players: Okay... Can we please get map voting?
Blizzard:
Players:
Blizzard: ...... No.

Blizzard could fix all their wrong doings by just allowing the art tab back.

You can easily find what you want on the web, why does it have to be on steam?

All they need to do is bring Heroes of the Storm to Steam

They only care about the portion of the playerbase who throws money at them..

Furthermore 99.9% of the issues players complain about are the result of design choices made to pander to that audience that blindly throws money around..

The matchmaking system is a prime example of this, most just say "it's bad" not realizing, matchmaking system is intentionally designed to make one-sided matches.

Why? So the people who are actually intellectually apathetic enough to blindly throw money at it, won't Uninstall due to excessive losses caused by their inability or refusal to learn the game..

Whats really sad is this type of matchmaking system causes the playerbase to degenerate perpetually.. eventually the matchmaking system will become extremely dysfunctional because of it, and the playerbase will begin to collapse..

Literally ever game that has used a biased matchmaking system, experiences this.. and aside from tf2, every game has died from it..

Blizzard Is fully aware of this (the steam release is pretty much acknowledgment of it)

But would rather use a self destructive matchmaking system that turns the games lifespan into a time bomb, that makes money now..

Than sacrifice a bit of profitability, and ensure the game has a long life.
