Skill issue my dude. Just win 35 games (around 5-12 minutes each game) and try the hero in the training area.
OW1 veteran here, i couldn't care less about the company, but i still enjoy the game and will keep doing so as long as the game has enough players for me to join a game and kick ass.
If not, i can still play TF2 and have fun, OW being here dosn't make me enjoy less other games.
It's just new monetisation because everyone that played OW1 serious had all the cosmetics, no reason for them to buy lootboxes. So to continue development they changed the payment.
Many thing went really wrong on this game sequel, but you can still enjoy it for what it is.
This game on launch was awesome and around sombra the balance took a nose dive to be forced as esport.
I hope they just make it what it should be, a fun party shooter like TF2
They just did talk about OW1 original all heroes for free (beacause new owners would have to grind) the guy just misquoting either from negligence or on purpose
Also there was a lot of people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about lootboxes, saying that it was gambling and it should be removed and make all skins available to purchase.
They did exactly that and now everyone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because they can't get skins for free.

Nah i think most ppl that made a point was because they hated lootboxes. Now lootboxes in EU are getting banned, so they had to adjust to different model. Honestly as a casual fan, i prefer to just pay for that 1 skin compared to having to gamble for it lol.
The no lifers on OW1 certainly loved the system, as they never had to pay for the skins ( after you unlock all cosmetics you just get points so they could get SO many payed skins).
Yeah, either way i don't really care since skins dosn't affect your gameplay, only thing that should be important are the golden weapons.
I put up with that BS for the PVE... then they canned PVE.
then blizzard pooped on me again in Diablo 4.
I am so done with Blizzard.

You get the white currency in the battle pass which can be used to buy all the OW1 skins, you can also get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ by just completing the battle pass.
Most of the new skins are for sale on the Store which was a highly desired request by paying players, so they no longer need to gamble for the skins they want.
The OW1 currency was transformed to white currency (don't remember the name) which can be used to buy skins, so they aren't worthless as you state.
Maybe you didn't understood OW2.
Yeah me neither, and to be fair 40$ since release to get all that content and hours in the game all for free was crazy. Only people that gave into FOMO payed for anything else except the guaranteed legendary boxes.
The big ♥♥♥♥♥♥ part of the game is not delivering the cool PVE
