Blizzard's not special. They're no different from any other dev. They just had a spotlight shone on them.
Why would we ever let this kind of thinking exist? If you were to be given a fairly decent job, paying probably close to $80k a year, why would you ever want to quit and just leave that behind? I don't know what it is about certain people thinking that someone harassing their co-worker means that co-worker should quit. The ENTIRE REASON that we have safety nets in the first place for people is so that situations where someone needs to choose money over being harassment free don't exist.
Saying that a company is horrible and that the people who blindly support them are horrible isn't virtue signaling. Activision-Blizzard, together and separately, have been some of the worst companies to exist. The workplace toxicity and harassment, the constant disregard for their consumers, the often broken/unfun state that their games are in during and after their launch. AB is special, in that they are among the top 3 most horrible game industry companies to exist, right there next to EA and Tencent.
Bro get over it or make your own gaming corporation and show blizzard how it’s done
PvE was announced 2019. They've been working on it for FOUR YEARS before it got canned.
Imagine working your ass off for FOUR YEARS then some upper management ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that doesn't know a thing about video games rolls up to the office in their (Insert Luxury Car of Choice Here) and tells you
"Hey, you know that thing you guys have been working on for the last four years? Well, me and the board realised that wouldn't make us- I mean the company enough money, so we're canning it.
Oh, and figure out amongst yourselves who'll be the bearer of bad news, alright?"
The guy who had to say they were canning PvE looked like someone walking to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥' gallows, mate.
Execs got their golden parachutes, of course, so they're fine.
Of course you have no clue how game development works at all and you post this.
No they didn't they cancelled hero mode and its progression, there's still PvE there was PvE in OW1, there was going to be a progression PvE mode that let you get talents and all that stuff and change the way the heroes are played.
That's what got cancelled.
Faux Outrage Crew just makes stuff up.
If PVE was cancelled why is invasion coming in less than a day?
and he has no clue he thinks some CEO just rolls in and says nope just stop that after 4 years? They want to see a return on the money they lose more money doing ♥♥♥♥ like that. He has no clue how business OR game dev works, you are right.
