Is Overwatch 2 worth playing?
Serious question. I loved Overwatch 1 when it first came out but I kinda just stopped playing after awhile. How's the community?

It's called Team Fortress 2, and it will fix your life.

Most here have never played it and they have little to no idea. They only know of Overwatch because they saw Tracer in certain fanfictions.

Come on man, there was a Widowmaker too.

I love TF2. It's funny because I used to hate it for some reason but after playing it recently, it gives me this euphoria of nostalgia. I get it the most when I visit very old/unique maps that felt like they were made around the late 2000's. I grew up playing CSS and didn't play much TF2 back then, only dabbling here and there.

Okay. As a player with over 1,900 hours playing since May 23, 2016, since before the game even tracked your total hours (so it's more) and you could make your team 6 Winstons.

The answer is still no.

no. Full of bugs, frustrating gameplay and... blizzard is a joke right now.

I can be fun.
Though you will be expected to conform to some kind of meta or you will get crushed.

What is the current meta so far?

The community became more toxic, balance patches make the game unbalanced, the reason for the 2 in OW2 had been canceled and it's slowly starting to lose it player base (reason why it releases on Steam).

O a fun thing, those that owned OW1 were suppose to get the OW2 PvE content for free, but now they removed the PvE level up system and the alternative attacks, slided up the missions into 3 missions per year and you need to pay 15 bucks for each set of 3 missions.

It's very different from TF2, why people keep comparing to it?

As expected from a competitive game were you must all be tryhard, the community is EXTREMELY toxic (not new from OW1). Expect to meet all kind of idiots.

The change from 6 vs 6 to 5 vs 5 is huge, when the only tank die you feel it. If you have 2 deads in your team, it's already a losing fight you better retreat usually.

No more lootboxes, you barely win any skins or content by being fully F2P.
And the price of skins and PAID PvE events is disgusting :/

They added a locked role queue so that solved the issue of having 6 DPS in one team running everywhere only to get killed by the team that was actually smart enough to pick a tank and healers.
So now you get 1 Tank 2 DPS 2 Support in the team.
Yeah don't ask me why, for the sake of "balance", they fused the 2 tank slots into a single one, and boosted the HP of every tank to compensate.

Meta is just to play whatever OP character they try to sell you with the battlepass until it gets nerfed next season.
Kiriko was completely OP when she released and unsurprisingly she got hit by the nerf hammer, right now it's Ramattra making up a huge chunk of the Tanks you'll see in the game. At this point he's basically a straight upgrade over Sigma.
Stuns have been removed from DPS kits, no more getting stunned for half an hour by a Mei + McCree + Brigitte squad. That makes the game actually enjoyable again, who would've thought.

Community is exactly the same that when you left off, hasn't changed one bit. DPS still think they're the most amazing people to have walked this Earth and Hanzo mains still think they can solo carry the game while all they do is ensure the enemy team an easy win.

Nope never was, they just did that amazing "update" that just became a mess, everyone who had bought overwatch 1 got F*ed pretty hard having to rebuy all the skins they already bought
It depends. If you don't plan on spending money on it and don't mind being always behind when a new hero is released until you unlock them on the battle pass, then it's an ok game. Not fantastic, but but terrible either.

If you want to always have all the heroes and you plan on buying cosmetics, just stay away, there are better games anyways.

I mean you can try it out since it's free but you will probably play a few games and then forget about it for 2 years also the stupid lockout for ranked games in new accounts is an instant turn-off
