overwatch 2 doesn't even have "microtransactions", just Transactions. With a capital T. A single skin for a character you might not even get to play is £15. Nothing "micro" about it.

Blizzard hate aside it does have some really fun non competitive game modes, like hide and seek being an absolute blast.
It also has pretty good character design, development and lore, all completely wasted but it is there.
If you were to never care about competitive or cosmetics then this games actually a steal.

However it's run by Blizzard, who are the actual devil, so if you play this you hate jesus, end of.

Overwatch is better than TF2 in many different ways. First, the LGBTQ+ friendly characters in Overwatch have much better personalities and backstories. TF2 doesn't even touch how amazing Overwatch's lore is. Second, the Overewatch community is miles better than TF2's. We have Youtubers such as Muselk, and STAR_, who, mind you, used to be TF2 players. Thank goodness they discovered the path that is Overwatch and left. Lastly, the cosmetics in Overwatch are some of the greatest skins and reskins I have seen in my life, and I have seen TF2's. TF2 has such bland cosmetics while Overwatch customizes the hero's whole body. Overwatch also has a very active competitive community, unlike TF2. The TF2 devs should "be inspired" by another Overwatch characteristic and get a better matchmaking system. The skill ceiling for Overwatch is a lot higher than TF2's. In Overwatch, one has to accurately search and take out enemies that pose a threat. TF2 on the other hand, one just needs to shoot about 30 feet to the left and they hit the enemy. Anyone in the right mind would pick Overwatch over TF2, and that is a fact.

They aren't the same game. TF2 is a masterpiece in pseudo-team combat where, despite the game being a chaotic 12v12, you'll often find yourself into little 1v1 skirmishes with the enemy and TF2 classes are so strong individually that a really good player can carry an entire team of 12. What's more, because it's 12v12 and good players can carry, nobody really cares if you got a 0kill/20deaths Spy or a Friendly Heavy. Now compare this to OW where it's a 5v5, every character matters (you'd be PISSED to have a Friendly on your OW team) and none of them are really strong enough to carry on their own. The emphasis on teamplay in OW matters, OW is all about going in with an ultimate as a team where everybody is expected to do stuff.

OW isn't TF2. They're both fps and both class based, that's it.
