Uninstall on Battlenet
For me, overwatch was the only game I owned on Battlenet, I will uninstall the Bnet launcher, after the release on steam. Anyone else?

Most likely yes. Battlenet is the launcher for Overwatch. Just like for FF14, DDO, BG3 all link to their respective laumchers. Can't imagine Blizzard being any different that SquareEnix or Larian studios.

So all this news is basically no real news. Got it. People could already play the game normally and link/attach it to their Steam client, so w/e.

attach a game(or other software) to steam as a "non-steam game" is not the same as actually having it as a real game on steam.

And how's "having" a game on Steam but it still using its OG launcher the same as having the real game on Steam? You just introduce a pointless middle man.

from what i have read, kotaku mind you, they say you wont need the bnet launcher with the steam version of OW2.
So there should be no middleman launcher at all.

Yeaaaa... not going to delete 15 years of World of Warcraft account progression and several thousand hours in multiple Diablo titles because some 'holier than tho' gamers think doing so is "sticking it to the man".

That'd be preferable.

Don't delete your battle.net account because that's still required.

Launcher isn't required. https://twitter.com/Qwik/status/1681720303389667328

Do not delete your Battle.net account unless you want to lose all your stuff that you accumulated on it. You'll at least have to link your existing account to Steam in order to keep your cosmetics and heroes.
