Please comment "+1" to show Microsoft that Overwatch 1 has a large dedicated fanbase!

Microsoft please give us Overwatch 1 back! Overwatch 1 had a different style of play compared to Overwatch 2. Overwatch 1 is a finished game with a complete roster. Overwatch 1's team play is different from Overwatch 2's team play because it is 6v6 instead of 5v5. I and many people miss it. We want it back!

Funny thing is that they are calling it OW2 claiming to be a different game. But if it's a different game, where is the other game? You can still play SC1 regardless of SC2... So, why did OW1 have to disappear?

Because Overwatch is always-online and Blizzard didn't want to pay for the servers. They also want to shove the Battle Pass in your face

It's literally not, dude. TF2 is free but you still own the game because it isn't always-online. You can play offline, even splitscreen, you can play in LAN and host your own servers. I can do on my servers whatever I want, like give myself any cosmetic or weapon unlock. I can add AI and give them unlocks. I'm even hosting a game server with the 2007 version of the game

I don't play it, but I know the same is true for Counter-Strike.

Saying "that's how it works" doesn't make it any less anti-consumer. Especially since I paid money for Overwatch. They really should give us the game and server files back

And for example, Valve doesn't host servers for Team Fortress Classic, but you can still play it thanks to community servers, or just offline or in LAN. Modern games die purely due to greed and no other reason. Overwatch 1 should still be available, it cost money

Just because younger generations don't know how to have that type of fun doesn't mean it no longer exists

The point flew right over your head

Aside from the huge LAN event in my hometown every year of course,
the point is that TF2 is completely modifiable. I have the 2007 version of the game, we have conversion mods like TF2 Classic, Open Fortress or Pre-Fortress 2, we have community servers with entirely unique game modes, I can try on any cosmetic item I want on my own server to see if I like it

The point though, is that Valve can't just make TF3 with pay-2-win battle passes and kill TF2 while at it

If Blizzard gave us Overwatch and the ability to host servers for it, then I would play that. I have no interest in Overwatch 2

Edit: i grew up in the late 80's and 90's. So it's not like i don't know.

These are the exact same games except OW2 was just a massive update of 1 removing the 6th hero slot in normal matches, rebalancing characters powers and having only 1 tank 2 healers and 2 dps per teams, that's pretty much it OW1 won't really come back but i think it's bs that you can only have one tank per team because the tank roster is huge but also OW1 suffered from a meta where shields were broken so this is a problem, now shields kinda sucks unless you play the few tanks with mobile shields but even then you might as well play really offensive with Doomfist in your tank slot or Junker Queen also yeah Doomfist used to be dps which again weird change.

Also, idk what you think "petitions" do, but it's nothing. This isn't even a formal petition, so it will get even less attention than nothing.
