CS did what OW didn't, became a good recognizable and standalone e-sport alongside having a massive, healthy playerbase.

Plus it's got a reason to spend money that's actually good in that it's market has actual value. Overwatch has glorified pay 2 obtain unlockables with no value.

The games aren't really all that similar, but in terms of pure reputation, CS buried OW2 before it even had a chance to be near CS's level.

CS2 actually improves things at a core gameplay level. Improved mechanics and sub-tickrate inputs, as well as a graphical overhaul

Overwatch 2 was just a monetization update and removed content more than it added

I don't care much for Counter-Strike but even I can see that there is a genuine, technical justification for it to be a new game. Overwatch 2 is not a new game

those tickrate updates should have been implemented back in 2015
even overwatch 1 had better servers than csgo

ow2 has better anticheat and new cosmetics made possible only on new engine

People with a negative perspective towards something often tend to focus solely on the downsides. So, your statement that OW2 contains no upgrades beside monetization is simply lies. Beside if we talking about monetization, hello weapon skins in CS which cost more than what you are wearing.
