Have some patience. Blizzard is a small indie company. They don't have the resources to fix the issue quickly after giving their executives their gold plated yachts.

Steam doesn't pass its auth to other games now. OW2, Dead by daylight and dozens more of games don't work. OW2 works in bnet fine rn.

The servers are working fine. They just didn't put the update on Steam!
Such incompetence goes further than anything imaginable. Even the indie studios don't update their servers without pushing the client update on Steam first.

Two underpaid Indians must have been woken up by their 40 overpaid managers asking them to do something about it. None of the managers having the slightest idea what went wrong.
