I think it will settle around 25,000 peak players or something like that. You are forgetting all the people who still aren't playing on Steam and if this game is playable on consoles, which I'm not sure and have more important things to do than check that.

Why do people keep bothering about player numbers? As long as you have fun with the game and can find a full match, why bother how many other people are playing the game for 5 minutes, just to leave a negative review?

baldur's gate 3 and overwatch 2 are different in terms of player retention, not very comparable tbh

Dead game on release pretty much, only got players cause majority were playing for enough time to give it a rightful negative review. I'm glad Steam understands this isn't a Review Bomb. Thanks Gabe!

First BG3 is a 30 year old boomer game so it goes up and down depending on day of the week. You'll see spikes on weekends when they aren't at work. This will affect OW2 as well but....

Second BG3 is an RPG game with an ending OW2 is an online game with matches it doesn't have an ending so it's players shouldn't drop like BG3.

Dumb comparison. Why not compare it to similar things like Paladins, TF2, DOTA2, Smite, ect. You know games that are you pop on for a few matches and then hop off.
