class means little in this game because half the tanks are just beefy assaults and half of the supports are just weaker )or even stronger) assaults with healing
2nd tank was able to do so much more and it was so much more fun imo, either make an assault team with another dps through other route, or combo with the main tank.
you should play tank abit more often.
Of the 12 hours I've played, 5 of those were as a tank. What more do you want from me?
And because the devs are too incompetent to balance it right, players are quitting the Tank role AGAIN, so there's a Tank bottleneck again lol.
and i am speaking as a diamond tank flex player with gold 5 star border.
but to be fair, if you have not play the original version when it was 6v6 and no limit, you probably wouldnt understand this anyway. so i understand where you stand.
but definitely 6v6 is more fun than 5v5, it is just that they dont know how to balance 2 tanks when players stacks tanks that have shield.
the only reason i stopped playing it completely was because of this, they somehow downgraded the game and made it worse lol
I believe that the game should bring back 6v6, however should do so in a manor which forces a shield tank and an off tank.
Much like when you auto lock a character, like everyone does with illari, make it so if you lock in shield tank, the other tank has to be an off tank. The main issue people had with 6v6 was the fact 2 shield was too strong, now it's at the other end where sometimes no shield can be a negative for the team, it's not always the Soldier's fault if the team dies when he has no cover to shoot pharmacy.
You may argue that 'forcing roles is a dumb idea' - to which I say, people leave when someone else selects the character they want *cough illari*, some leave if they lose first point, some leave when people mouths off to them. So I don't really care if someone says it's a dumb decision to make a change like this, a change like this is better than having 0 tank cooperation, if people wanna leave, then let them, people leaving games of overwatch is nothing new and a change like this won't do anything.
But think of the combos: Gravitic flux + Minefield, Earthshatter + Rampage, Annihilation + Terra surge - I could go on. You are actually rewarded for strategic combos rather than the current meta of constantly counterpicking.
Thing is, that one tank can now make or break a game. If this tank wants to grief then your entire match is pretty much forfeited.
