crash fix :D/

idk why but it works, after weeks of tweaking lol

First and foremost

You need to find your Splinter cell installation folder, you can do this by right clicking splinter cell blacklist icon on your steam library, little window will show up click on properties, one more window will open, switch/click on Local files tab, find "browse" button, click on browse button. after that you can follow the instructions below.

Navigate to the Splinter Cell Blacklist "SYSTEM" folder.
Locate Blacklist_Game.exe or Blacklist DX11
Create a Blacklist_Game.exe or Blacklist DX11 shortcut on your desktop whichever version you want to use.
Right click on the shortcut you just made and select Properties.
Add this command at the end of the target -offline -offline_mode

so it will look like this : "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist\src\SYSTEM\Blacklist_game.exe" -offline -offline_mode

Apparently according to other players, you can also do this in steam launch options

edit : i see that some people are having a hard time finding Sc installation folder, i added more instructions... also 2025 update, i added a steam launcher fix tutorial and clear animated gif instruction for both shortcut method and steam launcher option to clear things up..thanks to franksterboy for the suggestion :")

I wanted to share some troubleshooting from our end as well.

With all our games, and with any crashing issues, we'd always recommend starting with the troubleshooting guide[ubi.li]. The reason for this is that our research has shown the vast majority of crashing issues to be resolved by these steps. In particular from the guide, please make sure you are running the game with administrator rights, you've verified the game files, you've got your graphics drivers and Windows install fully updated, and you've (at least temporarily, for testing) deactivated all background programs.

For some of our older games, we also recommend the compatibility mode guide[ubi.li]. For this game, we recommend setting this to Windows 7.

If none of those steps helps, we always recommend our system files support article[ubi.li]. The two files it describes can be used by our support specialists to check some system details, and check for any errors Windows itself has logged, which often allows us to give more specific and targeted troubleshooting recommendations. We can't do that here on the forum, though, so once you've got those two files prepared, please reach out to our support specialists directly at the link below.

Lastly, for Blacklist specifically, I can see our team is tracking a crashing issue, and we can help with it by having a closer look at your account to see how best to help. Again, for this, please reach out to our support specialists directly at the link below.

game.exe..the one that inside "SYSTEM" folder :D, or blacklist dx 11 whichever you want to use..

I checked and if you add the parameters to the launcher executable they get passed to the game executable. So it is the same. Well, I played about 45 minutes and it didn't crash... so maybe it works, I will post again.

figure it out on some old thread this game supposed to be working fine on offline mode means without internet, but idk why even switching to offline mode on both steam and uplay can't trigger this "offline mode", so in the end im just messing my way around finding how to trigger this mode and i got lucky somehow, i might be wrong about this offline mode things tho, but the most important thing is i can get the game works :")))..

sorry if my ingles is bad xd..

Hello, thanks for save my game and my wasted money because i can play the game, but in 25 or 30 minutes the game crashed and took me out. Your troubleshooting fixed my problem with this game and even i can play the game without crashes after 45 minutes; also i can play it without loggin steam, but you must loggin uplay for play the game.
