Gender locked?
Just out of curiosity, I can't tell if you are gender locked in this game? Like, can I play a female witch hunter or a male bright wizard?

I don't know...... but does it really matter if they are? They most likely are as they havn't shown that there are both genders for each role, they've only shown the female wizard and so on. Look at it like left 4 dead, they had 3 dudes and a chick iirc and it was perfectly fine.

They are their own unique character with names and whatnot. You don't create your own bright wizard or witch hunter.

thank you for replying, and yes, it does matter to a lot of people, namely myself.

It would mean whole new models, animations and voice acting for each of the five classes. I think they just chose to spend their time and money on other aspects of the game.
You've got 3 blokes and 2 lasses, I think it's a good enough mix.
Does anyone know if modding will be allowed? You might get different gendres that way.
A wee jimmy krankie skin for the dwarf would be nice.

Modding would be nice if they did it like CS:GO you know where players could make stuff and the community would vote yay or nay, then the company would put into the game if enough of the community wanted it. Also would be nice if they didn't charge for those skins like CS:GO and DOTA do

They are indeed gender locked, each is a unique character with their own backstory.

It should not matter that much about them being gender locked as they are unique people and adding that feature would make them less unique in my eyes.

Maybe so, but I would prefer to play a female witch hunter and a male bright wizard. And what I want is equally important to what everyone else wants.

I won't knock the game yet, though, over something like that.

Please look at it from a developers standpoint. Would they rather use development time fixing the game or to make a few people happy.

Do you accept that it's a very niche request and that it'd cost a lot of time, effort and money to add it to the game?
Can you explain your reasoning a bit. Why is it important to you? I'm genuinely interested.

Because #Equality #America

Why can't you choose the gender of the weapons? Not buying unless devs add gender roles for all items. If I want a bisexual axe then I should get a bisexual axe.

"a lot" is an overstatement

Those 10 people on Twitter don't matter. Stop defining yourself over the gender of your videogame character and everything will be fine. I don't see how that is an issue.

It is an issue for me as well. It is VERY important to me - what kind of character I'm playing. Maybe I want to play as a witch hunter, but hate this particular one. I like Left 4 Dead or Payday in no small part because I can take any model and make it any class I want.
It's not necessarily a deal breaker, but if there was a gender/model/class choice in this game - I would already preorder it. But right now? I'm waiting to see what kind of class DLC there will be and if they will interest me at all.

Unless you are able to make your own character, I don't mind it being gender locked.

When characters has their own identity, past etc then I'm not the character I play as.

While if I was directed to character creation my expectation would be able to be play as female.
