Exotic weapons

What can I do with the ones I don't want? I cant melt them or combine them. So what do I do?

Yes, collect them and you will be at an advantage when they roll out some new use for them.

I'd like to be able to fuse them to mix and match the weapons traits. Regenerate what the traits are on a chosen weapon.

once you've collected 1000 exotics, you can exchange them for a white weapon

perhaps one day Red quality weapons will be a thing, there's already other red stuff so why not

Same with trinkets. All I seem to be getting is a bunch of useless trinkets instead of weapons to forge into better gear.

would rather take trinkets over weapons all day everyday, as weapons are plentyful both in numbers and on loot rolls, trinkets... I bet most people around have a max of 2 even at level 40

3 at 35 (not counting the cosmetic ones form CE)
One of them is orange and it's the worst one of them... go figure...
Worse yet, that's the only remotely useful orange in my stash.
The rest of them, I'd gladly and without a second though combine at 1 to 5 rates, but obviously only if that guaranteed a TRULY random orange. I mean why would I want to exchange 5 pieces of junk for one piece of same kind of junk?

I've got 9 trinkets and level 32 or 33. The useful ones are 40% grenade radius increase, 15% chance to not spend the grenade and 30% less damage from globadier gas. Then some 2% speed increase crap etc.
