Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide

A valid reason to add viewmodel fov options.
The game is designed to be played at a fov of 65 degrees. Setting it higher will keep the viewmodel fov at 65 degrees.

This means that your weapon will look like it's up in your face, and it has a longer range than what the viewmodel suggests.

This was not a problem in Chivalry because the viewmodel fov scaled with the regular fov.

Please add an option to change the size of the viewmodel, it's not only annoying to have your weapon in your face, but it's also pretty terrible to have to try wildly swinging around in order to find what the range of your melee weapon is instead of simply being able to look at our weapon to know.

I don't care if the viewmodel is incomplete/clipping , I can deal with that.
I would much rather have the option.

To be fair, it's hard to tell if someones being serious through text anyway.

But the forums are always filled with people like that so i can't say i blame you for thinking that way first.
The devs know that there are issues with their FOV slider already.

I actually don't have a problem with the skaven's range, probably because I am used to high fov settings.

It's good to see devs that care about their players.
Higher FOV is for multiple monitors or am I doing something wrong? I use a single 22" monitor and play on 1920x1080. Anything above 65 FOV (in this game) results in a bad tunnelvision.

Or do some people enjoy this?

anything lower than 90 makes me motion sick 120 is my preferred FOV so there is that.

Tunnel vision is when you have a very low fov, for instance when looking through a sniper scope.

Are you referring to the fisheye effect, i.e. having the sides of the screen curve slightly ?

Personally I cannot play anything with a fov lower than 90, and even 90 isn't comfortable.
I don't mind a light fisheye effect. I'm also on 1920x1080 btw
I am also on a 1920x1080 and use 120 as my fov, more of a habit really since i've been playing with 120 fov since quake.

So used to it that i have a hard time playing anything lower.

Yhea, sorry for using the wrong terminology but that's probably what I meant. It feels like I'm in some kind of black hole which warps the room around me when moving and turning.

In other games I use mostly 90 as I feels "normal" for me but there I didn't notice this effect of "warping".

In the end I don't care what FOV I have as long as I can set it to a setting that is visual pleasing. 65 is it for this game. For other games it may vary. I just wanted to know if the effect is normal on this game. Maybe it has do to with the weapons not scaling.

But there are also those guys who think higher FOV = bigger e-peen.
viewmodel FOV would be greatly appreciated Fatshark! Pls look into it.

It could very well be from the weapon not scaling.

A good example of that is Borderlands 2.
The weapons in that game are so close to your face it can be headache inducing at times.
Bump. Please fix this already.
