I'm talking about the viewmodel fov.
The fov of your hands.
I'm playing at 100-110 fov but the viewmodel fov is still at 65.
Yes i know, hence why i was making the joke of 120 being where its at.
Apologies. I thought you were one of those guys.
You know, the ones tellling you that there is an fov slider.
To be fair, it's hard to tell if someones being serious through text anyway.
But the forums are always filled with people like that so i can't say i blame you for thinking that way first.
"One problem with the range of the Skavens that we havent really had time to completely solve is playing the game in different FOV will change how far you perceive the attackers to be from you.
The game is designed to be played at the default 65 FOV but we decided to add a slider so players could set it to whatever FOV they preferred knowing that this would in some aspects make the game look a bit of. We are aiming to do something about this but we have not had the time to remedy it for the time being. We felt it was more important that the game was enjoyable for players that prefer higher FOV than to limit it to only 65." - fatshark_victor (game designer)

I'm sure they will get it sorted out eventually, just give it time.
I actually don't have a problem with the skaven's range, probably because I am used to high fov settings.
It's good to see devs that care about their players.
Or do some people enjoy this?
Tunnel vision is when you have a very low fov, for instance when looking through a sniper scope.
Are you referring to the fisheye effect, i.e. having the sides of the screen curve slightly ?
Personally I cannot play anything with a fov lower than 90, and even 90 isn't comfortable.
I don't mind a light fisheye effect. I'm also on 1920x1080 btw
So used to it that i have a hard time playing anything lower.
Yhea, sorry for using the wrong terminology but that's probably what I meant. It feels like I'm in some kind of black hole which warps the room around me when moving and turning.
In other games I use mostly 90 as I feels "normal" for me but there I didn't notice this effect of "warping".
In the end I don't care what FOV I have as long as I can set it to a setting that is visual pleasing. 65 is it for this game. For other games it may vary. I just wanted to know if the effect is normal on this game. Maybe it has do to with the weapons not scaling.
But there are also those guys who think higher FOV = bigger e-peen.
It could very well be from the weapon not scaling.
A good example of that is Borderlands 2.
The weapons in that game are so close to your face it can be headache inducing at times.
