Is it just me or is the repeater pistol completely useless?
Unless its good at something im missing, it seems terrible. and ive tried it multiple times because it keeps throwing them at me.

Now the upgrades i get on them are insanely good, do they have special ones? Stuff like 10% chance to heal 10 hp on kill or 15% for automatic headshot.

I got an exotic repeater earlier and I honestly it's pretty dissapointing. It's ok but ok compared to all my other white guns isn't very good for an exotic! It did have a cool perk of 97.5% chance to penetrate and hit another target, and given it's right click mode, a perk that incrased it's magazine size could be very powerful if it can get one. But really main problem feels like accuracy, if you actually want to fire it quickly you beter be at litreally point blank range if you plan to hit anything. It also feels like the cone fo fire is ether maximum or minimum with no in between. What i mean by that is if you let the gun rest completely between each shot it is quite accurate, but if you fire a second of shot even the tinniest fraction of a second before the gun fully rests from the first it fires with the same accuracy as spamming fire as fast as possible. At least that's what it feels like.

It also highlights an issue with how the loot system works in terms of weapon damage. Basically my white repeater takes 2 shots to kill a regular skaven on hard and even though my orange has almost twice as much damage it's not enough to make it a one shot kill. Still takes 2 shots. So 3 upgrade levels up and it still has the same time to kill as the white weapon against the enemies you are going to be using it agains't the most... so really weapons either get a huge boost in damage between ranks going from 3 to 2 or 2 to 1 hits for a kill or the damage change isn't enough to to hit this break point and for the majority of the fighting the difference will be almost un noticeable.

thats terrible that it doesnt go from 2 to 1 lol. I have a blue one only so I didnt realize theres not actually a difference except for number of upgrades. Weird that the rarity boost is so small since other weapons you can remove 1-2 hits igoing from white to blue. Annoying thing is ive gotten more repeater pistols than any other weapon.

Um...My blue repeater pistol for the Empire Soldier onehits everything but specials and stormvermin on Nightmare.
Edit: I should probably add this: Originally, I really did think the repeater pistol was absolute garbage and shouldn't have existed. Gave it one more try, and realized just how wrong I was. It absolutely tears through hordes and specials like they're nothing, and I have actually used it to snipe specials with ease.

I would say currently the Witch hunter repeater pistol is the worst weapon out there the primary fire is only good for blinding your friends when you shoot it near their faces, and the secondary fire is a decent spread shotgun. I feel like with pushback it could be a panic weapon for when you need to buy time but then why not just bash them away?

I found the repeater to be pretty good when fighting the rat ogre. Just hold right click and unload all 8 shots into the imposible to miss thing.

been playing with a blue one, it is useful for killing storm vermin. Its more accurate than a shotgun and you can 1 hit the storm vermin with its charged attack on nightmare.

exactly.. i feel like its a much higher dps gunif u just spam special ,and with the 50% reload rate u can fire off those 8 shot clips pretty quick, very nice to instakill storm vermin b4 they even get in range to touch u,

on nightmare it can kill any special with a charged attack, so thats pretty good. Its left click is pretty bad though, terrible aim.

Yeah when I first tried it the left click seemed pointless my only problem is even with all the good traits on it it's still going to be really ineffecient for killing specials when you can just kill them with a recurve, I guess it has the dual purpose of also working like a shotgun.

its left click needs to be fixed. its accuracy is way lower than what the reticle shows. Ive had shots go way off when the entire reticle was on their body.

Are you sure weren't getting head shots? I was pretty sure it was still taking 2 shots most the time. Unless there is reduce damage for hitting limbs? Could of been that or something.

It depends how you use it and its traits. I got one with 85% penetrate a 2nd target, 50% reload speed and 50% more ammo in the clip. Its the difference between mowing them all down and getting overwhelmed. Brace of pistols just cant do that.

You can one hit a Stormvermin/Commander with the spin up. Left clicks are good for hordes or panick shots up close. It's basically the Witch Hunters version of a shot gun. It has its uses. If you want precision he has pistols and a crossbow.

I'm a god awful shot, and rarely get headshots. The gun is great and reliably kills on Nightmare. 2 hits for Cataclysm
