How can I overclock or enhance the performance of my Nvidia GeForce 840m (I'm sure its 2GB) graphics Card?
I really want to try to boost it up for Warhammer: The End Times Vermintide. Any information, leads, and help is appreciated. If it helps to determine what kind of performance I will have or should expect, here are my specs:

Processor: Intel i7-4500 CPU @ 1.80 GHz 2.40 GHz
(I know I already said this in title) Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 840m (2 GB maybe?)
GB RAM: 8GB

I haven't played the beta yet, but I plan to play it tomorrow since I pre-ordered the game.
I've already read the system requirements and I tried to do a check on Game Debate on it, and so far, its say that the graphics card is the only thing holding me back a bit for graphic settings.

Maybe go to a forum about overclocking...?

Well I suppose that is a an obvious lead hehe.

I agree that the Steam forums probably aren't the best place to ask these types of questions.
If your system won't run the game properly, the only options you have are either refunding the game or holding out, hoping that the devs release some more optimization patches or something.

Not a good idea to overclock a laptop/notebook. Nvidia disabled overclocking on that gpu

There was a bug introduced into our drivers which enabled some systems to overclock. This was fixed in a recent update. Our intent was not to remove features from GeForce notebooks, but rather to safeguard systems from operating outside design limits.

I've heard that optimization isn't the greatest in the closed beta right now and I'm kind of new at the idea of overclocking. I've tried to look at some forums for overclocking, but I get lost anyway... Anyway, unless I can come up with an answer soon, I guess I can only hope that Fatshark would improve optimization for graphics cards, but I'm kind of skeptical =\

Maybe that's why I couldn't really find a good lead at overclocking. Well that would probably answer my question as to "No, don't do it." And you're not the first to warn me about this.

Don't overclock if you aren't sure how to do it. Overclocking is basically pressing the card beyond the standard performance. Unless you have good cooling your card can get ruined.

Read this first and then see if you feel any better about doing it. Good luck, hope I see you ingame.

Its funny, last night, when I looked at the System requirements more, I was really worried that I would have a bad framerate at the lowest settings and I hoped that I can just play the game at a decent framerate like... 20 fps for huge fights and 30-40 fps. And when I found out that everything except my graphics card seemed to be up to par, I got greedy and tried looking for an answer. I should be just grateful that I can play Vermintide at a decent framerate, no matter the setting. I'm really excited to kill Skaven! :D

Actually, with my graphics card, it would be a miracle if I don't freeze or get 5-15 fps on lowest settings in big fights >_<

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but I dont think that your gpu will hold up at all.
Checked out a few benchmarks for it and the min req gpu Gtx 460, and your 840M is consistently rated lower. Granted, you might be able to pull something off if you turn the graphics settings down as low as they will go. (including resolution)
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=GeForce+GTX+460 one benchmark list (Passmark scores) where the gtx 460 and the 840M are present (the 460 is highlighted and the 840M down at the bottom of the list).

In any case, if you decide to play the game I hope, for your sake, that you'll get a somewhat playable framerate

Yeah I know its pretty bad for Vermintide, but after going through the Game Debate website, I think I'll get away with lowest or low settings. And even after watching beta clips, one guy was nice enough to show viewers the graphics setting. In this case, Lowest is for people that aren't quite there with minimum requirements and I believe that Low is for systems that are between lowspec and minimum requirements.
