Only Skaven?

Soooo, the game is named Vermintide .... Kinda implies that Skaven will be the main and possibly only enemy you face in this game. That is what is keeping me from playing this game. I wonder if anybody has further info on this? Has there been any talk about how they plan on keeping this game "fresh"?

Probably talking about types of special enemies like the assassin, rat ogre, etc rather than a new race.

The game is called Vermintide - I can't see them adding another race altogether since Skaven are kinda the point.

Can't imagine anything other than skaven being the main antagonist in this game. This being said, there are opportunities for some more chaos related things, particularly thinking of nurgle. I can imagine that over time we will see new bosses (gutter runner, rat ogre etc) and perhaps also more "regular" skaven than just the slaves and normal footrats. But it's all speculation of course. Who knows, perhaps next year there's an extension that adds orkz, undead or, the obvious ennemy of everything good in this world, elves as main antagonists. I'm routing for elves. It would be lovely to kill them by the hundreds.

Honestly, I'd rather have them focus on one enemy race (Or at worst some hidden second one, you know the usual "It was the chaos dudes all along" kind of thing) than fanservice the hell out of this game by trying to include as much different Warhammer related stuff and people as possible in it, adding the risk of losing the initial flavour of the game, but that's my opinion.

Now I'm certainly open to the idea of new "campaigns" (be it free or DLC) with non-skavens enemies, just not in the main story if possible.

they will be putting other races they just put it as a dlc thingy. iknow this since allot on twitch has been talking to the devs and they said they will be putting in other races

if you know about Diablo 3 and Diablo 3 reaper of souls its the same game its just that reaper of souls is a huge dlc that is what I think they will do to this game 2 like put in a big dlc for this game

Just look into armybook. Skaven can give so many enemy types you will cry. Actualy i am already crying when the game spawns multiple specials at a worst possible moment.
