Yep, can confirm
Red items cannot be re-rolled as they have fixed traits.
Hoping to have a testable version on a public test branch in a few days for final testing and feedback. If all goes well it shouldn't be long until it goes live.
Then what is the point of red weapons? Even though they have maxed out percentages, most of those fixed traits are terrible and considering the fact that veteran tier weapons are hard to get, they should reward the player for hard work and getting lucky in the end,not just just collect dust in player's inventory, never to be used again.
For me - it's about higher chance to get oranges)
Of course, it's not as if I don't think this has occurred to the devs, and they clearly know how to put a lot of thought into balancing a loot system, so I'm sure it will work out. But, I'm pretty sure a high cost to reroll will be a part of that - probably considerably higher than praying for a new weapon.
What? There is the trait reroll page, and the trait proc percentage reroll page. You don't do both at once... Both will have different costs, they don't come in 1 package like I think you are saying.
No I know they are separate. But whether they are separate or together, the cost is going to have to be steep in order for a) proc chances to have any real meaning still (rather than all being rolled to the highest amount as quickly as possible) and b) trait selection to retain any diversity, including sometimes making use of "not the best" traits (rather than all being rerolled until you get one of a shortlist of ideal combinations)
