If that starts to get boring; Last Stand game mode on Veteran difficulty can be soloed very easily up to around wave 28, at which point it becomes more of a pain than it's worth. Those 28 waves will give you right around 60-80 Blue Tokens along with some Orange ones as well (30ish).
If you have a friend who's a bit better at the game than the bots or the aforementioned carrots, Speed-running Smuggler's Run on Nightmare is a quick way to get Blues, since I've noticed that the Ogre won't even spawn most of the times, so just rush the whole thing and kill things only when you really need to.
Doing things on Normal or even Easy won't be worth it. Too many White and Green items appear in the loot pool for it to be worth the risk when it comes to any map really.
Once last stand is available, that will change.
Start up White Rat on Cataclysm. Let the Grey Seer finish his monologue, so you can drop down from the platform. Suicide then restart the mission. 8 ores for zero effort.
As you say, there is no 'easy' way to earn loot in Vermintide bc it is one of the stingiest games I've ever played, but there are always efficient ways to do things.
The number you quote is clearly an exaggeration, but what are the realistic details? Time spent? Actual number of blue ores earned per run?
Veteran (Equivalent to Hard I guess) will start out with Green Tokens as reward and progress to Orange towards wave 30 or so. You'll get "a lot" of greens, some Blue tokens and few Orange.
Champion (Equivalent to Nightmare) will start out with Green but will quickly progress to Blue and ultimately Orange. Blues will be more common than the others.
Heroic (I suspect) starts with Blue and moves to Orange. I haven't played much Heroic, but I suspect Blues and Oranges will be best farmed here. But you'll have to work for them.
As for exact figures; I haven't played enough, and I could be wrong with what I said above as these are just My observations. They could infact be completely random (The drops I mean).
15 waves of Champion gave be 80 blue tokens. 21 waves of Veteran gave be 74 blue tokens and 28 waves of Veteran gave me 26 orange tokens.
Now for the stupid question: How/Where do I access Last Stand? I can't seem to find it on the map.
You need to run to the chained door, so your objective updates from "Enter the Grey Seer's Lair" to "Get the door open". Suiciding before that point results in 0 items.
@The Last Stand comment:
You get -rougly- 100 ores for every 1 hour completed on Last Stand. Assuming your group isn't killing super slow and you guys picked up all tokens.
There, screenshot from my runs: http://i.imgur.com/MfQKMvc.png (First one 2 hours, second one 4 hours)
It's not worth it
Right click Vermintide in steam -> properties -> beta -> opt beta.
Wouldn't nightmare give the most blues? I believe it has the most roll options for blues.
