The hell is with the first starting load time now?

It seems the usualy swifty part of server authentication at the start of the game is now taking like upwards of 5-10 minutes where before it was nearly instantanius. Why the sudden support drop for the initial load? It's gotten to the point where "Aye i may hop on vermint... ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥, I'd have to go for another cigarette just to wait for it to load".

Has this been troubling you for a while? One thing you could try is disabling the intro movies. I know you can skip them but the machine is still trying to boot up and process lots of crap it doesn't need to be doing. Or are you talking about purely server? Stuck on the picture of the inn waiting for it to load in?

Probably that. I also noticed something like that, sometimes it takes up to 3 minutes to load inn, but it may be my crapy internet

You're not alone, since Death on the Reik the initial loading screen has for me to been unusually long.

Yeah i've had the same problem since the Death on the Reik came out as well but i don't think it's as bad as yours. It only got 10-15 seconds longer for me which is annoying, but not enough to really matter.

Me too. Now suddenly it takes forever to load. Not sure why the DLC would cause this but it pretty much started at the same time

it's not 5 minutes, but It definitely takes a bit longer to load into the Inn now

Are you using an SSD? because i haven’t really noticed that bigger load time, like maybe as much as Randy said: 10-15 seconds longer

i also suspect that I need to clean my drive up and I can't remember if i'm running on my SSD or not

For everyones semantics sake. NOTHING was modified that should effect the load times at all from what they were OTHER then downloading the most recent patch for Reik. Fatsharks just pulling connection support to ramp up v2 is my guess.

It happens on the first load only (server authentication time). Its about 5 minutes give or take sometimes. No hardware changes on my end like i said. I was not the only one to have this issue since Reik. Its like they pulled three quarters of the authentication server offline.

Yes files verified, reinstall done. So the best assumption is server.
