Why is it so difficult to get red items?
I am a main Wiz and I have been trying to get a red staff for her for weeks.
Playing Cata, 2 grims + 3 tomes, what i get at the end? an orange weapon that i don't want blue item.
I think 280 hours in this game should be enough to get better items. I like playing this game but its getting boring every game.
A main wizard that played more than 200 hours cant even get just a single red item for her. It doesn't make any sense.
I am playing for fun, not to get best items but after weeks playing this game, you want to get those special weapons, at least I want to get them.
I need some suggestions about it. Maybe I am just so unlucky but it shouldnt be about 'luck' that much imo. Playing cata alone, getting 2 grims+ 3 tomes should be more rewarding...

It's not difficult, just random.

It;s just pure luck from what I experienced.. More often then not the rolls are not in your favour unfortunately.

it can be very frustrating yes, but then again most of them require at the very least specific setups to work, that is your other weapon needs to have synergizing traits to make that red weapon playstyle work and ofc other reds are just very underwhelming or bad.
they are really rewards for playing for a long time since they are quite rare, most reds you will receive from contracts i guess.

btw today sienna's mace is on the board and last week it was her flaming sword.
if you didnt know, theres always a public service announcement on the vermintide subreddit that gets posted daily about the contracts and quests, it very handy.

but dont worry both those weapons are a bit too specific to be considered strong general choices.

Try to get red items through quests, that's the only place I've gotten them from.

I think I'm arround 1000hours+ on this game and I still miss some reds. So... You know...

To be honest, the red staves sure look cool, but the 3d models are so huge, they almost block your vision of everything that might happen on your right side.

I almost never use them when I play Sienna. Though, they can be nice for the bot.

cuz the devs dont wanna be generous and therefore people wont be playing/liking their game :steamfacepalm:

If you play cata only you expected to get all red around 600 hours of playtime. More or less.

But anyway - dont bother, they are collectables first of all. They are not directly better than orange tier at all. So just enjoy your game and reds would come eventually

Only a few reds have unique combinations that make them worth using over an orange version.

Oranges with good trait sets will be better for everything 90% of the time.

If you purely focus on trying to get reds you'll burn out.

they have 2 set of traits you can switch between for free, you only have to pay upgrade cost if you do such swap

and also some have trait combinations that aren't possible, some have higher % proc chances on a trait, and their traits are always maximum, you don't have to reroll to get their % up.

So yeah they are not directly better then orange...

Put that Luck trink on, get those luck dice, increases your chance to get 7 by quite a bit.

Somebody obviously doesn't look at the quest board,

there where 2 red sienna items in the last 2 weeks on the quest board
You can make your red-farming more efficient by the ol' method of "git gud".
To elaborate on what I mean exactly:
Manage to survive with a grimoire. Grimoires are the absolute best when it comes to increasing your chances.
Play maps with lots of chests: Loot Dice will pay off eventually. If you don't absolutely need all three trinket slots, feel free to equip a Luckstone (if you have one)
Be quick: More maps = More chances. Simple

I had to play until level 400 to get all the reds, so don't expect any quick success here.

red items arent even worth it tbh. Okay maybe some, like rapier, trueflight, dagger and sword ,hammer, axebut (most of red melees are good because they come with normal attack killing blow) most of them are kinda bad and you can easily get a better trait combo from oranges... it's.. sorta sad. Some reds are straight worse with both trait sets than an average orange set like the repeater for soldier. That ♥♥♥♥'s BAD.

Also the staves for sienna are HUGE, takes up 1/3 of the screen not recommended
