personally I think this mod manager sh*t is about the best thing ever because not everyone is smart enough to extract a zip to the right place.

besides the couple of things I'm not using from this, it has all the QoL stuff that Grims has, and a few other options that Grim doesn't have. not to mention that this has literally everyones work in it.
Leave him. A zealot he is.

I'm honestly curious about where everyone is coming from, and I'm here to fight over anything either

I'm strictly speaking about the resistance to making access to tools capable of griefing available to the public.

The public availability of such things is literally the entire reason why the anti-mod community exists. The direct and deliberate attempts to stop people from doing such things is the only reason that official mod support is even on the table today.

I mean it sucks to have your game ruined by some one, i definitely understand that.

Fatshark being pushed into offering official mod support is a good thing though, and even though it took Lupo consistantly breaking their game to make it happen, I'm going to say it's a good thing on that specific level and hope they have a better way of doing it instead of these injector mods

I mean i'm not here to comment on is anyone is a d*ck or if they aren't. Most people around here aren't and I've had a lot of positive interractions with most of you guys

You are a smart thinker, I've never thought of it that way!

I mean on one level we're all f*ckin cheating using any of that stuff, and it's super hypocritical to pretend that we aren't. I think the good that will come out of it with the next game will be worth the bullsh*t that went on with this first one.

At least in one sense, anyone who uses a mod of any form is getting at least some kind of benefit that they would otherwise not have. There is a stark difference between ruining the experience of others and ruining your own. I'm perfectly fine with the prior, it will only purge the players who aren't actually interested in the game that much faster. I can't say enough to oppose the latter.

EDIT: There's some cheaty options in there for sure(see chests through walls, yuck)

I patched this and i split the mod ChestInfo into two mods. ChestInfo and ChestPing. ChestInfo is the only one that will be allowed to the NoCheat version.

I will release soon a new version with all the fixes people has requested. Give me 48h

Update: I upload a new NoCheat version on reddit! :D have fun!

Nope, I was naïve. Lupo is clearly The Enchanter and his change of heart is only a ploy to cause more untold horrors.

I'm kidding of course. But this is kind of how people are treating it, it seems. My stance is separation of author and work. Hate the man all you want but at least this particular mod is making an honest attempt at giving people what they want.
