MG Excelsus:
The Geckos' rockets can be dodged by jumping.
DON'T fight the Geckos. The MG Excelsus will fire plasma beams from a distance which can kill you and the Geckos instantly. Just avoid both and let Excelsus kill them for you. If you're low health, go near one of the Geckos after they're hit with the laser and use blade mode to hit their electrolyte storage and heal yourself. The blades Excelsus uses can be dodged using defensve offence when they come from above. The attack where it slides the blades along the ground can be avoided by using the ninja run since Raiden will simply hop off the lower blade. Defensive offence can also be used to dodge it. When its head falls near the platform attack it to deal damage. The legs have to be dodged or avoided since blocking them will deal a lot of damage.

Armstrong (On Excelsus): You can't beat him without the Muramasa. Just avoid him. Run to the opposide end of Excelsus and jump away when he does one of his dash attacks.

Armstrong (Rubble):
Energy attacks:
1. The energy attack he uses at the beginning of the fight will only have energy around his fist. He will punch the ground and send a shockwave towards Raiden. Then he will likely hit the ground again and send another shockwave. You can avoid these just by running but its better to use defensive offense to jump through them.

2. He has an energy attack where he also gathers energy around his fist, but takes alonger time to do so. This attack will result in giant geysers of fire sprouting out from his current position, often trapping you between them, limiting your movement. When you see it coming, get as far away as possible and try to go around them so you don't get trapped.

3. His third energy attack will have him gather energy around his fist with energy raising bits of dust and rubble from the ground. In this one, when he punches the ground, cracks will form. After some time, the cracks will burst with energy. Usually, you must find a spot free of the cracks to avoid the damage. However, you can also keep attacking Armstrong while he performs his attack. If you deal enough damage, you can stagger him, completely interrupting the attack.

4. He will also gather energy in his fist and lift his leg, before slamming his elbow onto his knee and forcing his foot into the ground, creating a small shockwave. Just keep your distance or parry it.

Grab:
He has grab attack where he flies to you to grab you. You can avoid the attack most effectively with defensive offence. After he misses, dodge again as he'll continue to fly around frantically, with a small chance to successfully grab you on his journey.

Explosion:
He can enter a power pose where he looks downwards and puts his arms together. When he finishes charging, he will emit an explosion of energy all around him. A single backwards dodge should be enough to get out of its range. Dodging through it is possible, but really tricky since there's no proper indicator when the explosion will happen.

Direct attacks:
He can also use punches and kicks. Because of how strong their are, you can't parry them and they'll stagger you for a bit, forcing you to also block the next one. You can dodge sideways or forwards when he does them to deal damage while avoiding the attacks.
He also has swings that are really fast and have deceptive reach, but can still deal a lot of damage. These only occur when you're behind him, so keep an eye out.

Throwing Debree:
A special attack that will occur several times during them fight.
Armstrong will jump onto the carcass of the Excelsus and start chucking pieces of it at you. You'll have to use blade mode to cut each piece. The points you have to hit are visible, and you only have to hit 3 out of the 4 to cut the piece, but missing them will result in failure. There can be anywhere between 3-5 pieces and running out of energy will automatially fail it, so its really just a matter of being good at cutting. Remember not to move your mouse/analog stick too quickly as if you do, Raiden will immediately perform a cut, which can fail the event. When all the pieces of debree are gone, Armstrong himself will leap at you, at which point you have to hit his head. Then Raiden throws him and deals significant damage.

Disarming attacks:
These attacks can be dodges if you're good enough, but don't make a difference as they're scripted to hit anyway. Here, Armstrong will disarm Raiden, punching away the Muramasa, after which one of two quick time events will occur. One in which Raiden is on the ground and Armstrong tries to perform a super slam on him and one where Armstrong is caught by Raiden in a punch and gets his liver descimated.
Both are really easy and just need you to press the random button that appears on screen.

Healing:
This will happen after Armstrong is tossed, meaning that its both after the attack where he throws Debree and after the attacks where he disarms Raiden.
In order to stop him from healing, you have to hit a weakpoint on his back, visible in Blade Mode. Even if you don't have enough energy to use Blade Mode, you can still hit the weakspot, which should be visible as the brightest glowing point amidst the energy. Be careful however, as if you hit Armstrong himself and miss the weakpoint, he will catch the sword and counter attack, dealing massive damage.

Any of these sequences will happen multiple times during the fight. Once he's at 10% health or lower, he will perform one last disarming attack. The rest is typical Boss Fight stuff.
