Wow don't buy the energy upgrades
They take so much longer to recover than the normal energy, which is a pain in the ♥♥♥ when you need ripper mode

Don't rely on ripper mode too much, it's next to useless with bosses.

It's hard not to when everybody gets an armor upgrade halfway through the game.

Instead of buying the energy upgrades, first upgrade the blade so It can reload the energy faster.

And btw, the ripper mode on bosses is kinda great, it gives you more damage than you think, and since you are not gonna use blade mode is a great buff of damage sometimes.

Upgrade the blade? Didn't know you could do that. You may have saved my life, noob.

That really sounds weird.

Upgrade your blade's absorption and you're good to go, each hit will refill your fuel cell.
Fully upgraded Pincer blades + Ripper mode and then try that with the bosses xD you can take around 30% of their health with each hit of the Pincer blades >:3.

Or you can buy the energy AND the blade absorption and have Ripper mode last a much longer time. Honestly, once you get the Muramusa balde, and upgrade that weapon's efficiency to max, you gain energy so fast it is stupid. Or just buy the Gray Fox blade and have basiclly have Ripper mode at all times.

Please don't encourage new player to use Fox Blade, they'll never learn to play the game if they rely on crutches.

lol... it takes 300,000BP to get FOX Blade, I think they'd have to have some understanding of how to do things lol :P
Rip out spines faster.

Abusing the FOX Blade self-corrects when people realize that they continue to run out of energy cause they put all the upgrades into the Special effect. They can't take build up energy cause they're killing too quickly which means they can't use Blade Mode either to Zandatsu.

It is a single player game, let people do what they want to do. You'll never know if they use it or not, so why should you care? And, as stated before by someone else, you need to save up for the weapon quite a bit before you can even buy it.

You kinda need energy though to fight Armstrong on Hard mode+ Your energy depletes so fast when slicing the tanks in half that it's next to impossible to perform w/o some energy upgrades.

I just finished a run through hard mode on a new game and didn't bother specking anything into energy for the reason you described. I ended up having to run some VR missions to gain BP and buy fuel cell upgrades in order to get it done.

Go to R-02 then. After finished the tripod fight (usually 5000 BP for S rank), turn back to the end of turrnel, there is a humanoid gekko, get in blade mode and cut them from top to bottom(only 1 hit enabled!) and after that you can find 5000BPx2. Get into custom menu then back again, it's a fast way to get enough BP.
