Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Not Loading

I am trying to get this game to load on my PC and it won't seem to work. All that happens when I click to Play the game is the small rectangular gray window pops up stating that the game is launching. That window disappears after about half a second and then nothing further happens. I checked my running processes to see if the game was actually loading and there doesn't appear to be anything there outside of the normal steam processes. I've tried disabling my AV and firewall and I get the same issue. I even deleted the game content and re-downloaded. I was going to post this to steam support but I am getting an error when I click the link.. I am running windows 8.1 and I can post the rest of my specs at a later time if that will help. Thanks in advance

I'm having the exact same problem. It started a few times and then I reinstalled windows because some dll got corrupted. After a fresh install, I'm getting exactly what you are experiencing. Windows 7.1 what graphics card you got?

Have you tried running in Win 7 compatibility and with administrator privileges?

I changed the exe to win 7 compatibility and ran with admin privileges and I got the following error - The program can't start because XINPUT_3.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this program... So delete and redownload?

Did a search after finding the error and it looks like it a directX error. I'll download the latest version and post how it goes. Thanks for the help

You should get the direct x you require from the windows updates and/or windows website.

This page has the updated exe for the windows directx you are possibly looking for. Good luck getting it sorted.
