The game offers you incredibly high replay value and extra content (collectibes, VR missions, etc). It's a triple A title and it's surprising to see taht it only costs 20 bucks.
Here's hoping for Bayonetta port.
So yes the game isn't very long but there's plenty of stuff to do regardless. After beating the game (including DLC missions) you can try to complete the VR missions (quite challenging especially if you try to get the top high score), get achievements and for example replay the story on a higher difficulty.
I myself had so much fun with the game that right after I had beat the game on normal difficulty I decided to go and play it through on hard difficulty and get the boss achievements at the same time (take no damage during boss battles). Also wanted to try out some of the VR missions and try to find the collectibles and other stuff. I've done that now (mostly, still missing some collectibles) and already planning further replays.
Definitely got my money's worth of entertainment here. At this time Steam calculator says I've played the game for over 20 hours so there's that.
So in short, yes the game is short but definitely worth the money due to game's high replay value.
I'm at 11 hours and the majority of that is from listening to the long codec convesations.
Haven't even done stuff like 1st place on all VR missions or S ranking Revengeance yet, but yeah while I'll agree this game isn't that long and pretty rushed toward the end for obvious reasons it's still really replayable and every new difficulty adds some cool stuff.
Way more often than that if you want to listen to all of them. There are over 500 conversations, and an achievement for listening to most of them. Plus, they're just interesting and entertaining.
There are new conversations after every cutscene, during, before and after fights with enemies, first time you pick up a grenade, when you save civilians, when you attack civilians, etc, etc, etc. New stuff to say every few minutes, basically.
