Getting started with modding?
So I absolutely love this game, great graphics, cool combat... but the music. How I hate the music.

Not all of it mind you, just the stuff that drops during the intense moments in the game. The linkin park sounding, punk metal or whatever you want to call it.

I would be willing to learn the basics of game modding to be able to replace this music. Can somebody point me in the direction of some modding resources that would apply to MGR?

The music is awesome instrumentally, but the lyrics are really ♥♥♥♥. Still, RULE OF NATURE is probably my favourite moment in gaming

I aggree, people shouldn't talk about their personal music taste but about REAL MODS.
implementing mods, objects,weapons,making some of the bosses playable instead of raiden,making a miny version of a Metal Gear Ray as a playbale character, designing own levels,objectives,missions and so on. Increasing Graphic, making performance balancing mods or whatever, but not beatching around about music.

But what he was asking for could have been done if modding tools were there and made ready, I've yet to hear any sort of tools being handed on a silver platter to let users morph the game into something that's not really the game.

It doesn't matter if you guys think my music taste is an atrocity. I really was not trying to make this thread about my musical opinions. Look, the bottom line is, I would not have come to the forums and made a post about this if I wasn't bothered by the choice of music.

Once again, not trying to rip on the developers or anything. But it clearly isn't just me who doesn't care for the music in this game. If proper modding tools are ever released you can bet your ass I will dedicate some time to replacing this game's soundtrack with a less vocal one.

I was doing some poking around yesterday and it seems like there are already some people working mod tools simlar to the ones used to mod Bayonetta. I will keep on it and post anything I come up with here, despite whatever.

Honestly, I was half expecting you'd come with some farfetched reason about why your taste in music was better than anyone who liked the OST.

The thing that baffles me is... There are mods that add horse vaginas and randy savage to skyrim but I am catching flak for trying to do an audio mod. I love the game, it's fun. I'm playing it, with the soundtrack... I just think it would be cool to have something different is all.

Excuse me? Horse vaginas are a must have! Or, a Randy Savage horse with a vagina on his forehead! I'd play Skyrim to the end of my days with that.

Most of the time, people don't ask for those mods. They're made by people that want that kind of stuff in the game, and they upload them, so that others that want that sort of thing can have it, too, if they choose to download it.

I've not actually seen someone request some of the stranger mods that come up in Skyrim. I never saw anyone request a Randy Savage dragon, or chicken. I never saw anyone request Schlongs of Skyrim. People put their own time and effort into it, and thus, you're not going to get many people complaining, because nobody was /asked/ to devote time and effort to creating a Randy Savage mod, or a mod that puts penises on things. Likewise, if you were to make a mod that changed the audio, you'd have a few people disagreeing with your tastes, but you wouldn't have (too many) people complaining about the time and effort that you yourself put into making it, because you didn't /ask/ for it, but provided it.

You are totally right. I forgot the name of the bad guy in Rising. The only names i can remember are Raiden, Sunny, Sam and the Wolf. The rest was just "there". Not as well written as you usally do, Mr. Kojima.
