During the fight with sam on the train, when raiden gets pushed back and stops himself on the roof of the tunnel, Sam comes and slices around the jaw area.

Yeah? Try for yourself. :)
For holding the sword Raiden must be constructed with 4 hands like tripod or Mistral. :)

I don't need to try for myself. Raiden actually uses them like that in the game (Infact I provided an example in my original comment). Also tripods only have 3 hands, hence the prefix "tri-".

Welcome to the other land culture ;)

The heel IS actually just his foot. It's exactly as I said. He doesn't wear boots because he has a cyborg body with those heel/boot things built in.

Also, what is "Welcome to the other land culture" supposed to mean? You mean Japan?

And with such a nails you cant hold grip properly. And Raiden never used it. It just for show like heels and spikes on shoulders.

Did you even play the game? Raiden uses his nails for gripping to a wall in the second mission (granted, he does end up using his sword to completely stop his fall).

I'm going to assume English isn't your first language, so sorry if this offended you, but your points still don't make sense.

Not to mention the heels serve the purpose of effectively allowing him to be on the balls of his feet the entire time.

Raiden has always had an androgynous appearance going back to MGS2 when he first appeared. (IIRC one of the characters you speak to gives Raiden a "package check" during one of the cut scenes).

The heels are just a further nod to the andgrogyny that has been part of the characters make-up since his inception. The fact that they're also quite functional is just a bonus.

And why cyborg have a eye patch? :)

PS. and heels (he has a complex because smal height?)
PPS. and such nails for swordsman? :)

Doktor explains why he has an eye patch. They didn't have time to get a new eye, so that bandage acts as a camera. If you ever wonder something in Metal Gear games, the codec will answer it for you.

If you played more than 5 minutes, you see he uses them for combat (holding his sword) because legs have more power than arms ever could have.

Better grip and useful if it ever comes to fist fight and sharp nails like that can act as miniature knifes.

CONGRADULATIONS!!! for paying attention when Sam cut sensor off his eye which in turn cut his eye making it useless...and believe it or not if you pay attention during the game with the brain cases its a brain with the eyes attached so those are his original eyes...also for the nails hes a cyborg in a pure combat body so claws can be a weapon

Second mission doctor says something like @we connect it directly to you optical nerve@ and Raiden have a new hand as well. So yeah eye patch extrimly necessary for cyborg.

And with such a nails you cant hold grip properly. And Raiden never used it. It just for show like heels and spikes on shoulders.
>Raiden never uses them
>The Senator Armstrong fight, he literally readies his claws during the cutscene after his sword is broken and you proceed to fight hand-to-hand

Apologies for necroing but how can you be this wrong

I always thought that Raiden has his original body locked in a freezer somewhere? You know, just cut off the top of his head, and stick on top of a war-machine. Was that not his original body at the end of 4, just with scarring where they put the chunks back together? I hope I haven't been wrong about this all along, 'cuz my version is way cooler.
