Is Raiden actually stronger than Snake ?
I mean in raw power. I remember Snake struggled so incredibly much taking out one single Metal Gear in MGS and he also got help from Grey Fox back then. Raiden on the oher hand takes out 20 Metal Gear Rays with a stinger rocket launcher in MGS2 on european extreme, he also clears out an entire elevator full of ninjas with the help of Snake and I dont even wanna say what insane stuff he pulls off in MGS4 and this game xD So in all fairness I think he could take out Snake in an blink of an eye but Snake is the veteran if he would use his whits and cardboard box I think he could beast Raiden. Any thoughts on this ? ^^

If you give Snake a cybernatic suite equal to raidens i think snake would win due his higher experience on battlefield through out the series and the many bosses he fought. He is also not insane as Raiden is in MGR that has no problems to kill anyone.

Also Raiden is a Cyborg, he could use EMP's and Chaff grenates which would effect his sight (sensors). He fought against Grey Fox back in MGS1 and won, but they were old friends and didn't want to kill each other and the Grey Fox suite is equal to the suite of raiden.

Snake had to use the certain environment and psychological warfare to play the card of sanity and philosophy like he does always with people he thinks he has a wire to.

Snake has still a good chance.

yup I think this plays after MGS4 so yes ! And no, no cyborg suit for snake :O Just the tuxedo and the cardboard box ! Raiden sees the box, enters Blade mode and cuts the box to pieces, meanwhile Snake is behind raiden and puts an EMP grenade on Raidens belt. Raiden: "well...♥♥♥♥" =)))

Absolutely. Even with his muscle suit, Raiden's nanotech body surpasses him in both strength and speed. However, it came at a great cost to Raiden as most of his body has been replaced with synthetic parts and one could only speculate at the mental damage that could do to someone psychologically. It would also be hard for Raiden to pass through a metal detector.

Snake still edges out in stealth and experience as age and a lighter body provide a better background for infiltration. So it matter less about who would win and more like where would each win.

Rikiohipman, I believe you are correct. The end of MGS4 implies that, anyway.

Easily the best response in this thread. Word of God here, folks. Take it or leave it; when a dev tells you how things are, it's the truth.

What a pointless discussion.
