Had to stop playing at blade wolf.
The camera is all over the place. I dont remember playing a game where this was such an issue.

Someone suggested using right bumper (or the corresponding key) to lock on a target on a different thread.

I had to stop there when I was playing on my counsin's Xbox. But I was able to get through now.

You have to parry his attacks, and then you attack him.
No need to run around like crazy, just wait his attack, press the analog in his diretion and press Light Attack (X), Raiden will block/parry, then you can counter his attack. Just repeat until he is dead.

Yeah, use the lock on button, and turn up your camera speed to max helps out a lot. then just practice parrys

Yep. It's basically a parrying test. Once you figure out how parrying works the fight get easy as cake.

Actually, the most efficient way to handling blade wolf is with Offensive Defensive maneuver as you can exploit Blade Wolf's weakness which is close quarter combat. The more deadly moves involves his barrel roles and pounces. I basically keep up with Blade Wolf and force him to use his chainsaw attack.

This youtube video is an example, not mine, but has the same principles:

This video is a bad example as most the moves he is doing are only available later in the game. This video is a New Game+.

Best way to beat BW is to time your parries to the last second so you can get the counter attack.

You can farm BP for Offensive Defensive... that is what I did and just did simple attacks. The Ninja Run + Strong attack does wonders in hit stunning Blade Wolf. It just takes practice :p

I had same issue. You need to lock on him and parry his attack(do not run away). Thats all.

he is actually the hardest boss bar the last one I think, but I have said he trains you for parrying well for the rest of the game

Thanks for the tips everyone. This is from the company that made the excellent Vanquish, so I had to try this one.

Except I just used the Ninja Sliding Kick of Justice followed by the Downward Slap of Righteousness to put that robo jerk on the ground, before going into Xbox 360 Controller Packaging Opening Mode and dicing him.

Killing the wolf for me was not hard, it was trying to do a perfect no damage score that took more time.
