No japanese Voiceover
There is no logic reason for Konami not to include those audio files.
They are there. They are present on there PCs. They just have to copy and paste them into the PC version.
Why didn´t they include them in the Steam version?!

I mean.... wut?!
It´s not like they have to synchronise it in japanese and spend extra time and money... the files are existend. Why aren´t they included?! W.T.F?!

(Oh and if the shop page is just lying to us, then...: YAY japanese voiceover included! Wohoo yaaay!!!)

Is it just me or did they recently added the japanese language? If I remember correctly on the first week or so, it wasn't included.

Because they paid for the English voice acting and you're damn well going to enjoy it (and it's regionlocked in Japan for whatever stupid reason). That, and Konami likes to stick ideas pertaining to DRM and removal of features to a dartboard and go to town for whatever reason.

Shop page isn't lying, it said that there is Japanese text only, but no voice.

What I think about all those topics of "Why not Japanese Voices" :

http://store.steampowered.com

I know that japanese voices/original voice work can be superior to dubbed one, but there are examples of good dubbed voices and Metal Gear games are good examples.

Considering the game is not being made available in Japan, the Japanese audio track is very likely to be absent. This is usually due to the rights for audio (and royalty payment agreements, etc.) being specific to Japan only.

This is why some of the games on Steam with Japanese audio, only provide the audio for purchases made in Japan. It's also why the $30 Tomb Raider Japanese language DLC is only sold in Japan. The price of the DLC is to match the full price of the game on Steam (which is the US import version) + language DLC to the retail price of the Japanese language version sold outside of Steam.

It's the corny cheesiness of the english voice acting that makes this game so great.
