Region lock for Argentina and most of South America?? REALLY???
I know Brazil has lower prices for many games, but most of South America actually pays the freaking same price as in USA (Even when we shouldn't, when are we going to get SOME official Valve support besides just Brazil?).

Should I actually TRADE for this game? Is this region locked in USA?? It's the same price ffs. Anybody from USA please confirm if you don't get any warning at the store. I don't like to have region locked games on my account.

It's probably region locked in Russia and CIS countries as well (Checked price comparison, it's only cheaper there and in Brazil). Why is the reason for the rest of SA to have such locking if only Brazil has a lower price for it? This is really really bad. Steam is NOT getting my purchase this time if this is how I'm going to be treated like.

So much hype I was building up and this crap happens. GG Konami and Steam.

Nice! Well, we are used to have no official support and, even if it sounds stupid, I can deal with the fact we don't own the games, but region lock and a higher price?!? It's a deal-breaker to me. Not buying it. I'm from colombia btw.
Red 19 DIC 2013 a las 11:09
Yeah I mean, we don't "own" the games, that's right, but we're never going to lose our right to play them anyway and Valve is not the kind of company that would remove access to games you bought for unjust reasons. That's why I chose this platform to buy stuff (I don't like physical discs and all that crap, I move all the time and hate having tons of games lying around my place).

I love the ability to download my games anywhere I am and PLAY them. That's why I never buy anything with region locking. I'll have to get the game from somewhere else now. So freaking inconvenient and silly and the worst thing is I can't do anything about it to change it.

It's a move against cross-region trading and gifting, check the Database.

AllowCrossRegionTradingAndGifting No

Thus far it seems to apply only to South America and Eastern Europe

I am in the same position, was interested but this is a deal breaker, and the same price as the US is not even worth it. Smart decision Konami! You helped me decide to get the game through other means...

Yes I'm aware of that, but the system is HIGHLY flawed if I pay exactly the same price as other countries with a ROW version yet mine is region locked anyway. We even pay in DOLLARS here! There's no difference at all between buying it here and in USA. Not a single cent of difference.

I'm from Brazil... what happens if I purchase this game and happen to move to another country in the future? Will it be unplayable?
Red 19 DIC 2013 a las 11:31
Yes. You won't be able to play it outside of the countries listed at the top of this thread.
Shiro 19 DIC 2013 a las 11:33
Well that blows... I might just trade it with someone from another country, then, and get myself a ROW version.
Marvin! 19 DIC 2013 a las 11:34
any word of censorship on latin america countries?
Red 19 DIC 2013 a las 11:40
I really doubt this is going to be censored at all. South America never gets a censored version of any game. That's what mostly happens in China and Germany, and sometimes Japan.
